Orlando Scandrick played great. But why didn't he get credit for a sack?

Time to give him some credit, he was great all day today, looked like the Scandrick of ole out there.

Also a question that may not be all that important, but why didn't he get credit for his sack today?

He clearly sacks Cousins there, but do you not get a sack if the ball is fumbled or what is the deal here?

Box score doesn't give him credit.

Fumbled snap means no sack unless it's picked up again and the QB is looking to throw.

This is so that sacks aren't given when QB/Center exchanges go wrong (like dropping a snap and then getting touched down for a 1 yard loss). Scandrick did get a tackle for a loss though (which imo is a better stat to look at than just sacks in many situations).

That slow as hell return was great tv. He was literally at walking speed but somehow managed to return that block kick as far as he did. Amazing stuff.

He aged something like 20 years between when the ball was tipped and when he picked it up to run. No one can convince me that that was sub 5.0 40 yard dash speed.

Great game from Scandrick.

He was trying to let his blockers help him get down the sideline because offensive players had the angle on him.

Exactly. He also was clearly gassed by the time he reached midfield lol

I don't think he was. I didn't see any sign of fatigue after the play that I remember. He had Lawrence out in front of him and was trying to use him as a shield against the field goal team. Unless you've got a clear shot at the end zone, it isn't about how fast you run, but about how smart you run. He went 85 yards because he was smart, first to notice that going to his right wasn't going to be successful and then to allow his blockers to convoy him down the sideline.

He was gassed as he just had to cover the previous play, then darted right, before heading back to his left. Also, not mentioned but if Crawford had not blocked that kick Irving would have. His giant paw was right in the path of the ball as well!
