Why are the Cowboys so suspect about injuries!

I've been fuming over the Chido hammy for awhile now, and it really eats my shorts with the ol red headed genius constantly saying he's "day to day" - when we know he's not ! Now I get competitive balance etc ... but, if he has a torn hammy and needs to be IR'ed , or just shut down just say so and do it. Now I read yesterday one of Broaddus's answer's to Rico and if he would be bought back up off of IR, and I had to read it twice.
While saying they may not activate him at all, he said the hit Rico took, also hurt his Jaw and neck, and he had to HEAL. As in - more than just a concussion we were all lead to believe he was suffering from.
When we have obvious injuries like these two - and I'm sure many, many more we don't know about. why be so purposely vague !
It just makes me more and more mad, as fan's we want to support and know what's going on with the players we choose to follow. But this ******* crap doesn't help anyone - their not playing, your not hiding it from other teams for a competitive edge.
Hence all the Chido is useless comments lately - now if we knew and understood the seriousness of some of these injuries, maybe we all would calm down and let the healing take its course.
Another example - Paea, his knee was obviously bad enough that he retired - well how about releasing what was wrong so fans are not badmouthing the dude, who had to end his career !
Tyron's back ..... and all the players who herniate disks and need surgery come seasons end. Now, saying that, I get if the player is attempting to play thru injury and you don't want opposing teams to know the extent of the injury - but when your 2nd round pick has been out for months and your future TE has a more significant injury than just a concussion - who are you fooling !!!

OK, I feel better now

What is funny is that we have a few guys on the injury report but most everyone is available to play. A lot of our competitors have a ton more injured players yet people talk about our trainers and strength coach and say they suck. I guess everyone else's suck even more.

I'm glad you feel better, 'cause no one else is going to give you any help or info about these matters.

Belicheat is widely considered to be among the shrewdest of coaches, and he is generally lauded for his injury concealment strategy.

Chido (and his trainers) thought he was ready a couple of weeks ago, but he wasn't; injuries are quite variable in their recovery time -- heck, think how the Indy fanbase must feel about bad Luck?

The coaches are much more frustrated than we are with these nagging injuries, and they resign themselves to simply managing those who are available.

Neither the coaches...or anyone else really... care if you calm down. They don't owe you accurate updates. The less information our opponents have, the better.

I don't know why fans think they are entitled to this information to begin with. If it wasn't for betting purposes, the injuries would never even be listed anywhere at all as it should be. We fans need to shut up and let the football people run the team instead of demanding they tell us everything we want to know.

I remember when Belicheat would list Brady as "questionable" every week. Everyone know he was gonna play. He listed Dion Branch as questionable for seven consecutive weeks and never even suited up for a game.

It boggles me that fans care as much as they do about injury reports. Less face it...they exist pretty much for the sole purpose of betting on games. There's no vested interests for coaches to make sure as much information as possible is out there. It doesn't help the team to have accurate up-to-date reports available. Obscuring the actual status of an injury, to the extent the league will allow it, actually helps the team.

As far as Chido goes, specifically, he's been attending practice for a couple of weeks now. But DNP on the injury reports, right? That's pretty consistent with a definition of 'day-to-day,' isn't it?

First off, it's not just the Cowboys. Go look at how Belichik talks about injuries - he gives away nothing. Second, guys have had their careers ended due to concussions. Hockey players have missed a week, some miss a few months. It's not like a broken bone with a predictable healing time.

I have a hard time caring about injury news, let alone being mad about it

Life's too short.

Nope, dont bet - on football.
Just frustrated by lack of real information.
Thanks all for your understanding and concern o_O
Always see people bagging on players about who is or isnt a jag. Who was a wasted pick, free agent etc. Due to not knowing what said player might be dealing with.
Doesnt bother most of you - ok, bothers me. So venting allows me to release steam.
Like I said, the obvious injuries that get suger coated, like Chido and Rico is just dumb.
I come from a country where professional Rugby is king, and they always list injuries so people know what the players are dealing with
. And yes, I ferl better now !:)

Injury reports are for the betters. Vegas.

No one does the injury report like Belichick. Hell, he lists Brady as injured every week, at times.

JG isn't too far behind as far as being coy is involved. I love it.

You guys that hate NFL injury reports would detest hockey.

This.

In hockey, you get an "upper body injury" report for a player for three months and have to deal with it. And it's league-wide. Those GM's do not show their cards

Why do y'all call him "Belicheat?"

He's the GOAT. That moniker speaks of salt, 97.

GOAT is the GOAT

If I had my way, no team should have to disclose anything about their injuries. None of the opponents' business.
