The vast majority of great receivers have similar speed as well because there's a whole lot more to being a wr than speed. Guys with that power forward size generally run around 4.5 and use their builds to post up for the ball. Route running and explosion out of their breaks is much more important than a straight 40 yd speed. Some guys get faster after the first 40 yds, like TO. Irvin - 4.55, TO-4.63Noah Brown ran a 4.55 40 yd dash. Dez back in 2010 ran a 4.52 40 yd dash. Both times are considered average for an NFL receiver. I don't see how a young receiver can become elite if he runs "average" speed and has "average" quickness which more is needed to create consistent separation from faster and quicker DBs?
