Cowboys FO thinks they are close...the team might be, IF everyone goes injury-free and IF Dak leads the team like Romo (taking charge, despite the boobs that were coaching him), IF Garrett learns how to be creative after 10 years (not all as HC)..

so, we aren't there and none of these "if's" will occur (and I like Dak)

Agree, and I’m interested to know how far the asking prices are.
According to Nick Eatman, Seattle wants a 2 and Dallas is only willing to part with a 3. He said if there was such a thing as a 2 1/2 draft pick, he believes this deal would already be done. If the trade does happen, then the compensation will probably be a 3rd and some change.

Because we have the process. No one can clearly explain what the process is however, including the red headed dude at the coaching position claiming that it's a process.

Dat 11 year process that's won us so many championships.

I see the Bears getting Mack. Still won’t get past Rodgers and Green Bay.

Don’t really see what Kansas City has done we haven’t.

BUT in Dallas our process takes 10-12 years, where as Philly takes two.
Some never get tired of complaining.

For me, you don't feel a sense of urgency and I'm talking about signing few big contract type guys. But we've seen many times how they passed on signing quality mid-tier players for bottom feeders.

Philly GM is a deal maker, Stephen is not. Stephen watched as Jerry squandered assets and has gone the route of small deals with some upside. Philly's style may not always work but every superbowl winner has 1 thing in common that season, they got production from starters and backups when needed. Can't do that without bringing in lots of talent. We are one of the best drafting teams the last 3-5 years. If Stephen would learn to take a bit more risk like trade an sign ET and then trade an sign a quality C/G to start or backup and maybe even another Tackle since flemming looks not so good. Wew have enough cap room to build a better team and ways to produce more room if needed to field a team that could actually win a postseason game or 3 if they make some moves now.

Thomas price tag too high and Seahawks have figured out we probably won't pay the price. Probably why they've started talking to other teams.

We are one Earl Thomas away from looking like Billichick was making roster moves with McClay.

Here is the difference, Bellicheck takes spare players and they contribute immediate or else they are cut. We take players and they languish on our roster for many years as a project. The difference is Bellicheck turns over his roster gets better faster, while we waste time. It's no accident that we wasted the years of a guy like Tony Romo.

Going against the grain. Its the Jones way. We bob while the rest of the league is weaving.

We are trying to do it the old school way.

Trying to be like the Steelers and Pat's. Problem is, Pat's have Brady, and Steelers did a better job drafting all the talent they have than us.

Or this is Seattle trying to drum up trade leverage through media rumors. Why haven’t any of these “multiple teams” been named?

lets be brutally honest here, if the eagles didnt win a SB, would you do anything lately that the Rams, Bears or Eagles would do? Seriously? Thats like saying, Ok guys, The Browns are now the blue print to a successful franchise.

Stop stop stop allowing the media to give you an opinion. the NFL is a copy cat league to an extent. everything works according to the media and its the next best thing. You know how every team has teh mobile qb. remember that since the days of Vick. How one defense is now better than another and all the other trends. Who the hell is going to take advice from the Bills at this point?

Guys Guys, quickly, ESPN told me if i go t the Jets seminar on how to win with the butt fumble, yo we ll be hoisting the lombardi every year yo. Its cant miss. THe Jets said so.

stop the insanity.

if you want to learn more, send 1,00 to my PO Box.

Tony wasted his own career by not being in shape. We turned over an entire roster which obviously isnt Tony's fault but when we finally got every thing in place he couldnt stay healthy behind the best OL in the NFL. We had a team that went 13-3 with a rookie 4th round QB that started preseason as our 3rd string QB and where was Romo.....somewhere holding his back.

Bellichick is the best at what he does. But he didnt make the blue print. There where teams that won exactly like the Patriots do when it comes to managing their roster before and there will be many after.

Cowboys have done that before and got burned. I think they are copying the Patriots way. The only difference is the Patriots have a coach. Now the question is will Dak if is the qb of the future would do the same thing that Brady did when his contracts were- take a discount to help build a team around him to compete year in year out for a SB. Belicheck asked Brady, do you want be paid well and be known as a great player with the money we can use to build around you or do want to be the highest paid player?

By not being in shape? What on earth are you talking about? You do know there was more to Tony Romo's career than the last two years right?

Yea I mention the total turnover in the roster in the post you responded to. By the time that turnover was completed Tony could not stay healthy. The reason we are not concerned with our Back up situation at QB now is because Dak is not only young but is in very good shape and takes care of his body to take the pounding that an NFL QB can take on.
