Nickel is base.

I'm curious to see how that works out though

We need pressure this week from our D-Line. I want to shut them down. Want to see our first pick 6 this week.

Jaylon is the Mike. LVE is the Will.
This isn't really even news anymore.

LVE is a plus coverage guy who eats a lot of ground and is a sound tackler.
He is a direct Sean Lee replacement. And people poo-pooing the draft selection are ignoring just how good a fit he is there.

Jaylon is a more physical direct player that you prefer having on a rush or attacking to being in space or playing zone.

We're almost always in nickel so it doesn't really matter.

If JAylon and LVE Are on the field together I want JAylon as the mike and let LVE play on the outside and fly to the ball.

Exactly - Jaylon at MIKE and LVE and WILL .

LVE needs to run free and make plays. Having him deal with interior linemen "trash" on a routine basis isn't the best right now in his development.

And D.Wilson has been playing solid at SAM in base formations.

Not both of these can replace Sean 'the glass snake' Lee .

If sean is healthy , he is a beast .
Honestly, I would trade Lee if I could.

Or better stated, I wouldn't be opposed to trading Lee if we got the right offer.

I understand, you want to give him a real chance ... like we did with demarcus ware .

;)
Yeah, that, too. But, more importantly, we get something in return from one of our great players before we let them walk away with nothing. The team isn't on the verge of winning anything, so not having him here isn't going to prevent us from winning. By the time we are ready to win, he'll be ready to retire anyway.
