Should we be worried about this defense?

Past 4 games they haven't really played up to their standard consistently. Especially the run D.

Yes, Giants had no business putting up 35 on us. Defense has not been playing well.

Missed tackles killed us yesterday and players like Engram and Barkley will make you pay if you can't get them on the ground.

Coverage was good. Latimer made two circus catches with CB's draped all over him and Chido had that sweet interception in the end zone.

played most of second half with Armstrong and taco as de's. no vanderesch. lee was less than impressive. still not worried. they'll be ready for hawks.

The one thing about the Seahawks game is that both teams played earlier in the season and both teams are better but Dak had these two crazy balls that bounced in favor of the Seahawks into Earl Thomas hands. I think one was off the foot of a player and cant remember the other.
The key to this game will be run the ball and stop the run. That includes keeping containment on Wilson. I think Seattle is a seasoned very good team and this will not be easy because of how balanced they are.

Yes the did not have the normal players in for the 2nd half. Even the DT's seen more of Reid than Collins in there.
Wilson had more time in at LB too.

Also I don't think they game planned as much as normal. They took an extra day off as well on Christmas.
I think NY put a lot more into this game than Dallas did.

Even though they said they wanted to play hard this game I didn't notice them flying to the ball like they usually do. I'm confident it will be dialed up to 11 on Saturday. The biggest takeaway for me was the impressive end zone interception by Chido, it rivaled the one he had in preseason.

I think they'll be alright. They were kinda playing out of their minds for a month or so there. If they can hold Seattle under 20, we should be good - especially if we keep creating turnovers

The reason the defense tanked in the 2nd half is because they put in Taco for Lawrence and the pass rush went in the toilet. Give any QB plenty of time and they will burn you at some point.

Not too worried. Sure they wanted to win but at the same time the game didn't mean much.

Bucs can score/put up yardage. Their defense was their downfall along with inconsistent QB play here and there.

Seattle is playing well and will score. We'll need the defense to force some turnovers to have a good chance to win next week.

I am, and it's not just their awful performance yesterday. They haven't looked great for several weeks now. So yes, I'm concerned.

Tyron Crawford was huge loss for run defense, gonna need Leighton and Jaylon a lot more now and maybe some Lee
