On the Fan Jerry said that had he to do it all over again, he would really scrutinize the field conditions. He kind of used that as an excuse for the defense. Seriously? I am pretty sure we all knew the field conditions were bad. How do you not look at that pregame and have a plan?

Learned another lesson. Great job.

Other staffs leave nothing to chance. I really can’t believe he means this.

Honestly, he may be losing it. Someone needs to follow up with sowm questions about how this, if true, is possible at this level.

Good grief, teams played football for decades on worse fields. Suddenly, everything has to be on fake grass and indoors?

How about scrutinizing the coaching staff whose defensive linemen were giving away their movements before the play?

It's seriously like someone else has taken over Jerry's body the last ten years. He used to be just as shrewd in the football world as he is in the business world. We need that owner back, to offset the overly attached GM.

Cool! Jerry will now make certain all future playoff games are played on a perfect field. Thank you, Jerry!

I wanted to find out, was that question, the one relevant one, actually asked? Or were these interviewers neutered and provide their list of questions by Jones himself?

Was Jones asked about the fact that his defensive line tipped off everything they were doing?

The one person that had a excuse was LVE he was sick and was taking antibiotics. Which explained his off play and them using Lee more. He has a excuse but you don’t hear him saying a word.

Did he scrutinize the field in the 1992 Championship game?
Remember all the cleat options they brought and watching players changing out various lengths to get the right ones? Jimmy covered it all.

Garrett usually had things like this covered, do I have to think Jerry is just losing it again.

Hey, this is our GM! Its also why this team can't get over the hump. Jerry again taking the position that he has the best players in the league and only outside forces can step them. The Rams offensive linemen had no trouble getting enough traction to blows the Cowboys DTs our of the holes. And oddly, the Colts did to on a perfect field.

No, Jerry, what hurt your defense is they went up against a team with a modern offense and were kept off balance all night. This is what a 21st century offense looks like, but you probably wouldn't recognize it because you are used to seeing a game plan that should be in a museum. Seriously, I hope Jerry is talking and this is not how he really feels because its depressing.

Diversion . . . he's trying to divert attention away from the team being out-coached and out-played.

Has he said anything about coaching/player performance? So far, his evaluation has been: "we picked a bad day to have a bad day" and "cleats."

I love when people comment but didn't listen or won't go listen to the interview. There was nothing crazy or wrong about what he said. It wasn't the sole reason for a bad defense , it was A reason.

The field wasn't in that bad of shape. For those of you who don't know what a coastal environment does to any surface during the evening time, it really softens the ground and makes everything more slick. Add morning rain to that, and it played a big part in the game. This was a coaching and management mistake that I'm sure the Rams were prepared for and the Cowboys were not.
