I'm fine with this as long as we get some help at DE or DT in free agency. Plenty of DTs still on the market.

Well, that's that.

We like our guys. All of them. Cause we do such a great job drafting.

Those are pretty expensive numbers, but if we miss on Thomas, what's the plan B? Just sign more Cody McElroys?

This team is infuriating because they have no plan to get better. Draft well. Sign our own.

Well, that plan has not worked for us. There are very notable examples of teams that are better than us using trades and free agency to improve in smart deals. We just sit it out entirely.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Ugh. This sucks.

It sucks, because that's not a deal I would have wanted us to do for him, but it also sucks because I really wanted him and thought that his asking price might have been coming down into our neighborhood.

Given how they have lowballed Beasley, you are on the wrong track thinking our price range is anything close to reasonable.

I don't think anyone but the useless, untalented or desperate come down into our neighborhood.

Well at least we can stop talking about ET now. Time to find a bargain bin safety to replace Heath.

Then he was a year younger, wasn’t coming off his third season ending injury, and wasn’t on the open market, so likely his cost was a little less.
Yeah but a year shouldn’t have been that much of a deal breaker. So if they traded a second rounder for him last year and he got hurt....then what? They were going to let him walk?
