sunday ticket. love it and hope goddell keeps his pedo hands off it
He wouldn't take it away from them. He's talking about taking away their exclusivity or (monopoly) of it's distribution. That way every cable company, dishnetwork, streaming service could sell it as well. They also could theoretically at some point sell game by game or team packages.

Slingbox allows you to watch your home TV remotely over the internet.

What if:
I lived in Wisconsin.
Rented a room from someone in Dallas.
Installed a Slingbox in the rented room.
Watched Cowboys games using the Slingbox.

Would that be legal if:

Option 1:
Slingbox connected using antenna reception.

Option 2:
Slingbox connected using a DirecTV or Cable account at the Dallas address with the account in my name.

Option 3:
Slingbox connected using a DirecTV or Cable account at the Dallas address with the account in the homeowners name.

Yo X - I got the answer for you: Ology TV. For about $16/month, I get the following:

UFC (all their fights)
Boxing
NHL (all their games, although I don't watch)
NBA League Pass
NFL Sunday Ticket
Showtime
HBO
Cinemax
CNN
Fox News

Etc. etc. Here is a demo:

I can watch from my phone or my TV. I live in Commander country. I haven't missed a Dallas Cowboy game ever since my wife told me about Ology TV. No more costly DirectTV, no more cable. And I'm saving a ton of cash (hey, I'm cheap ).

Check it out man! :D

You would be accepting compensation in exchange for distributing a copyrighted live production without consent.

Your friend in Wisconsin probably wouldn't get in trouble. You sure would, especially after posting prior intent on a public forum.

Edit: if you got caught...

If I had my own cable or DTV account at their address then it should be legal. That wouldn't really save money because the minimum cable bill is probably over $20 per month which would make it over $240 per year but conceptually it should be legal.

If not then it seems like the Slingbox concept is not really legal because many people with those likely live in rental properties.

I have one hooked up to the guest room tv box for my brother who works in the State Department in Third world country's.

In a lot of those country's it was/is the only way to get american tv. It works great.

Cool. It's good to hear from someone that has used it.

Yeah except you can't record pause or replay reddit. It's like going back in time 20 years.

Just get YouTube TV and use a GPS spoofer to make it think you are in Dallas.

If you have android you can use an app called GPS emulator

Can I record and pause that?

With the number of guys watching streams, it would be a travesty for you to have some legal issue.

And it looks totally legal to me.

IPTV and a VPN--- I use Jettv $8. VPN subscription $5. Total: $13
Get HBO, Cinemax, Starz, Encore, PPV, all sports channels including Sunday Ticket, all NBA, all MLB games. Actually over 6000 channels. Supports any computer OS, iOS devices and android. Have it set up on a Macbook Pro that I can hook up to any tv and on a Firestick on the main tv. Haven't had any issues that I recall, but if internet service goes out, I'm out of luck. Has happened once, luckily not during a gameday.
