I recall the first time I saw TD in person getting off the flight home after beating the Rams in 78 playoffs .He was wearing a mink coat.

We used to meet the players at the airport ( only 15 minutes from our house) after big road wins.

The 28-0 win sent us back to the Super Bowl to defend our championship in Miami which I attended.

Speaking of the draft, in 1977 Tex Schramm's brilliance in orchestrating a trade with the Seahawks to acquire the 2nd overall pick -- Dorsett -- was phenomenal.

Sure Dorsett did not want to play in Seattle, which aided the development of the trade -- but Tex was able to swindle the Seahawks front office with draft choices, which taken in total would never have created the total overall impact for the Cowboys of an all-world talent, and future hall of famer -- like Dorsett.

I met Tony Dorsett at an autograph signing back in the early 90's ('94, I think). He was the nicest guy...down to earth...laid back. My ex told him that Emmitt Smith had NOTHING on him, and he also told him "Emmitt who?" Little did we know at the time, that Emmitt would surpass Dorsett and be the ALL-TIME rushing leading in NFL history!! :D

Did something happen to you in your lifetime that you think you are perfect. LMAO I have nerve damage in my fingers from the military I rely on speak and text. You have a problem blame Google
COPY, ( I keep forgetting whose got what around here in the ailments dept.,,,my bad on that,Frend, and it would be in poor form on my end were I not to extend the obligatory "sorry to hear about that nerve damage of yours",,, although, I got a continuous needle tingling numb dose of that going on myself in the right foot) and while I'm pleased in hearing that you have a former football player for a friend & rightfully so you may feel it levels up your credentials somehow,it very well might could be viewed in awe by some,Meh by others &
* yawn* by some others still,,, also, you really need to extrapolate in a bit further detail as to that whole " life experience that transpired somewhere along the way to have compelled me to believe I've achieved perfection,,, in what manner or regards? a perfect bowler? P.F.T.score? Dog walker? pb& j sandwich maker? ,,,as the question you asked of me is kinda' vague without defined parameterso_O

when a 2 x Super Bowl running back ask you to workout with him . then you can talk to me
,,, I honestly don't recall filing a request in the hopes of you granting me the audience of a conversation with you to begin with ,,,er,,,ya know?

My All time Favorite Player. I remember I tweeted to him all the jerseys I had of him and how I ran around the house pretending to be Tony D. He tweeted back "thank you so much and very cool."

Mine too.

Used to give me goosebumps....
no doubt my favorite running back of all time (which says a hell of a lot considering Emmit) and way up there for player, maybe top 5. I never really made a list beyond 1 and 2 which would be Staubach and Manster

Got to know Tony a little bit when our daughters played soccer against each other about a hundred times growing up. Nice man and a loving father.

I remember the day he got drafted. I was giddy as hell.

Happy Birthday, Tony.

I believe it was a privilege to have someone of the caliber of a two-time Super Bowl running back asking me to work out with him. If you read more into it than that. I guess that's on you . The nerve damage you have the tingling in your leg. I feel your pain. Sorry to hear it. Some people take kindness for weakness. I usually don't respond derogatorily until it's initiated

I don't recall looking for an apology. I recall asking for common sense.

I know it's two weeks late but here's TDs 10k run against Pittsburgh. I've been editing and putting up games on YouTube for a couple years now and TD was phenomenal in his prime.
