If Hill is all that, how much better will he make Jaylon and LVE?

Don't think so. Not a block eater. He's a penetrator. Think he'll defend the run by shooting gaps and trying to disrupt things in the backfield rather than by standing his ground against double teams and letting our LBs come up to make the plays.

What I think he'll do is make life easier for Quinn and whoever is playing 1T on pass rush downs by leaving them isolated because he draws the extra attention.

Also depends on what he is supposed to do in his assignments. Bit sound about right. Rush the passer, penetrate and disrupt. Maybe he plays passing downs more than run downs. But on run downs, still get in the backfield to disrupt the play. But he will make it easier for Quinn, as this was what Crawford was to do, all that dirty work so DLaw could do his job better.

Should absolutely be able to help our LB. and will make it easier for the whole Defense. Pressure up the middle causes panic for the qb...

If this guy is a stud in the middle, won't he help keep Smith and LVE clean to make tackles? Could be a multiplier effect. Thoughts?

In some ways, but that's not really his role. The 1-tech is supposed to be the immovable object who occupies two blockers to free up the linebackers. The 3-tech is supposed to take advantage of one-on-one opportunities to get into the backfield and make plays. Obviously, if the 3-tech is disrupting plays by getting into the backfield then it helps the linebackers out as well.

that's the thought. a penetrating 3T would help collapse the pocket. would have multiple effect, flush the QB out of pocket and not allow him to step up in the pocket, think of Brady, Brees, Ryan and allow the DEs to collapse on him from either end, that's why signing Quinn and Lawrence was key to this off season, both of whom can put pressure from their side. that allows us to blitz the LBs a little more and with Smith's speed that's going to translate into more sacks, more pressures, more turnovers....pressure translates to lower completion percentage and more Ints.

Could help secondary and edge rushers drastically. Quicker forced throws equals turnovers

Chances are, if Hill is a good player, he still isn't going to do much this season. Like most rookies he will need a season to work on his technique, get his strength up, get used to the speed of the pros, and earn his playing time. He has a lot of guys in front of him.

LVE was rare case where he was thrown into the fire because of an injury and played incredible from the start.
