I'm glad the Cowboys told him that his number had to come down and ultimately released him when he wouldn't.

He's in for a shock if he thinks he'll see anything close to those numbers anywhere else.

He wasn't on my list of wide receivers this team would be keeping anyway.

He's likely more interested in going somewhere that might give him a better shot at being on the 53. He doesn't really play special teams, so his options here are limited given that we've got at least three guys ahead of him.

I wish him well, somewhere else. But poor season plus significant injury do not equal a robust market.

At best he would have been the fourth or fifth receiver on the team. No doubt Dallas wanted to pay the equivalent of what that level of player makes. Hurns thinks he can get more than a bare bones deal elsewhere I guess. This is likely the best move for both sides.

Not to mention, why you wanna a what 5-6 vet as a fourth or fifth receiver.

I was always surprised when ppl expected him to be back, particularly at that price and after talking noise about the staff or Dak not being able to make changes at the line or whatever.
