Again I’m not a doctor. So I don’t know. In that interview Amari is asked “so you’ve had it before” which he says yes. And then asked “but it’s in a different spot” and he shakes his head yes.
So maybe because it’s in a different spot it’s technically not plantar fasciitis? Or it’s in another part of the same muscle?
I’m not sure. Hopefully we have a doctor in the house who can enlighten us.
@Doc50 ?
In this case, intrinsic is a general term, not a specific one.
The reference is to the muscles that insert on the plantar aspect of the calcaneus, rather than the fascia. This includes the abductor hallucis, flexor accessorius, flexor digiti minimi brevis, and abductor digiti minimi, intrinsic to the function of the heel and foot.
So, it's a chronic strain of muscles rather than fascia.
Hmmm, I just watched an Amari interview in which he said it was plantar fasciitis:
on 105.3 the fan. Mickey Spags just reported that Amari Cooper does not have plantar fasciitis.
He has a strain of a different muscle in his heel. Called intrinsic muscle strain.
Which supposedly is not as bad/ doesn’t last as long as plantar fasciitis.
Take it for what you will..... but it sounded positive.
Edit- I know nothing about foot muscles. I am just paraphrasing what was talked about on the radio segment.
Flexor Digiti
Thank you Doc!

Strip bars don't count.I am very familiar with the human body. I've been training over 40 years I must admit this is a new one for me.
Putty can fix anything =Putty come down and fix Cooper @waldoputty@jday is researching it as we speak.......
so it's a strain, I want to know if they're all intact or is there a partial tear in his foot.on 105.3 the fan. Mickey Spags just reported that Amari Cooper does not have plantar fasciitis.
