Dak Prescott knows he won’t be highest-paid QB, doesn’t feel like he can ask for that

If I'm not mistaken, the team finally finished paying Tony just last season. Tony's been out of the league for three years now. I mean, I can see why people have issues there.

He was on the team in 2016. He was released on April 4th, 2017 as a June 1st cut meaning his remaining bonus (which was already paid) got spread out as a cap hit the following two seasons (2017 and 2018) as would any other player we released as a June 1st cut.

Dak wants a four-year deal like Wentz and Goff but the Cowboys want to push it to seven years. Dak wants more money per year for a seven year deal.

It was reported on NBC sports that Cowboys were pushing for six years, and Dak wants four like Wentz and Goff.

I think his contract should be right in the middle with Wentz and Goff. If he wins the Super Bowl this year, pay him like Flacco’s run.

A man of integrity unlike Tony "cap killer" Romo.

It was reported he makes $50m in endorsements - I think he can return the favor and give us a lil discount

He does not make 50 million in endorsements. Can we please stop spreading BS like Dak was asking for $40 million. The way that 50 million was calculated is complete nonsense - including potential insurance payouts.

And if there is one person (besides R. Wilson) that should NOT take a discount it is Dak Prescott. Dak was the 77th highest paid QB last year. 77th!

You have basically stated what I said previously. What is your point specific to this post? Are you trying to tell me something or are you just confirming what I have already said?

Give and take. Each side must do both to get it done. Smart by both sides to if what you stated is true. Dak obviously feels his value will be greater in four years and Cowboys want to stretch it out to seven for cap purposes.

So what are we waiting for? There is an offer out there. He would be the highest paid QB that has not made the Super Bowl.

This is probably true and the reason why the stories about Dak only wanting a four year deal could be true. That way he can cash in again post new cba as well as he thinks he will be worth much more for one more big pay day in 4 years

I think that's exactly what's going on. If the Cowboys want team friendly? No problem. Dak wants a shorter deal. And he wants the chance to cash in even bigger when the new CBA kicks in and the cap goes way up. That seems like a fair compromise.

The INT's and playoff losses, that's what got me!

Again, a lot of it wasn't on him. probably 85% of his interceptions were based off of receivers running the wrong route or him having 1.1 seconds to snap and drop back and throw

Dak may not ask to be the highest paid quarterback because that's his agent's job.
