Misleading stat, they haven’t given up 100 yards to any one back but have given up well over 100 yards total many times.

I was just going to bring that up. They gave up 180 yards on the ground to Houston.

....yes, but they have allowed over 100 yd rushing many times, to combo runners. They have been able to lock down one runner to under 100. ...they can be run on.
The problem is most RBs have to get into a groove or get alot of reps and if they are getting stuffed all the time then you're looking at long passing situations which makes it dangerous. The absence of Brees really hurts them. As long as we don't turnover the footbal

It's not misleading. It's not talking about total, it's about stopping the primary ball carrier. Usually if you can do that you can stop the back up as well. If you can slow down the run game to under 4 yards per carry you can win any game. I don't think they can stop us from getting 100 yards from zeke, I surely doubt they can stop our team from getting 100 yards rushing. If they do that , that would be monumental.

The last time Zeke played them he had 75 yards. They will be amped to shut zeke down. There will be alot of emotion on the field this sunday. Their offensive line is very good but do is ours. With Quinn our d line is good but sonis theirs. We need to win in the trenches this Sunday night.

My main point is, what's the difference between Zeke getting 150 yards as opposed to Zeke and pollard combining for 150 yards? The Texans ran for 180 yards against the Saints. Does it really matter who got the yards?

OL was horrid vs the Saints, 7 sacks on Dak. No way they shut both Zeke/Pollard down. If they load up to stop the run, Dak will have easy street with all his open WR's/TE's at his disposal.

You don't like Zeke?

hes being a troll..

no one thinks that..

75 yards when they try to stop you all game is pretty good..

Backs like Gordon who only cracked 1k once, you dont realize that 75x16 is 1200, respectable amount of yards when they are crowding the box..

whats different this year up until now is if the Saints do try early to shut the run down, Zeke starts slow but we have to make them pay in them pass game to back them off then let Zeke and pollard destroy them in late 3rd and into the 4th..

Zeke make defenses game plan and it opens every thing else and no, not 300 yards sarcastic mouth said but getting 90-150 against them on the road would be great..

I'd love for that to happen. The whole focus is on the primary ball carrier . If you can shut down the primary ball carrier usually you will shut down the backup as well. I'm not trying to make excuses for the saints or our defense vs barkley but usually that first game the defense is still getting back to tackling and hitting at true game speed, but I'm not trying to get into all that. The point of a team focusing on the primary ball carrier is to slow down your offense . I wasn't talking about total yards . The point is the saints want to SLOW us down to where they can make us one dimensional. That's why they are going to have to get an early lead like they did the Seahawks, beside that I'm a competitor myself so I know the cowboys are going to take this on as a challenge. Zeke is one of the best RBs in the league and naturally you want to overcome something like this

With Drew Bree's putting up points, a lot of teams have to limit, if not abandon the run to stay with them early in the game.

It helps
