The big issue to me was the offense in the 1st half. We looked like the cowboys of old with predictable runs up the middle and then passes on 2nd down. None of the creativity we exhibited before. Zeke looked like he was running in a tar pit... didn't try to spice it up with speed by getting Pollard out there. It's like the confidence to call a creative offensive gameplan against a challenging defense evaporated and we went with that 'same ol'. That's not going to get it done. I don't know if Garrett took over play-calling the first half of this game or what, but I really don't want to see that sorry offense again.

I gotta agree with Bleu. It's a marathon. There's plenty of season left and this is one loss. They're going to have bad games. I think whoever is forcing the conservative play-style needs to go eventually though.

They have some work to do, but they have time to do it.

Exactly, losses suck, and we'll all make knee jerk reactions after them. The Offensive game plan was awful and predictable for most of the game. Despite all that this is the first game the defensive looked pretty good and the Cowboys are still 3-1.
3-1 - until next weekend.

I can't really put any of this on our defense because, while some might say they played less than expected, they held NO to 12 pts and kept them out of the end zone.

This was Kellen Moore's 1st real litmus test. It's time to get back in the lab with Dak & regroup.

I'm actually encouraged by this because everyone on that offensive staff needed to feel this and it better to feel it early vs later in the season.

We needed more safety valve passes out of the backfield tonight. That would have kept NO from pinning their ears back. Where was Pollard? Much of this is on Kellen. He will snap back.

In the pro game it’s almost impossible to win them all. Tonight the turnovers really hurt us.

Tank needs to start showing up. It’s 1/4 of the way into the season and he is on a milk carton.

I would be looking to trade a pick for a serviceable DT.

We need to draft one and sign/trade for a good one in offseason.

I’m 10 posts into reading this thread and have learned the offensive line sucks, Dak is overrated and we were blown out in a 2-point loss.

Time for me to go to bed.
It worked wonderfully for me man. I slept like a well fed baby.

I totally missed all of the dumb knee jerk Dak sucks reactions. It's a beautiful morning and we are an appropriately timed/humbled 3-1 still atop the division.

Happy Monday!

I absolutely expected this to be a tough game. What N.O. did the week before to Seattle was no aberration. One loss isn't the season, but they damn well better get it together real quick because the rest of the schedule is going to be brutal. Having Tank mouth off and your owner partying like it's Mardi Gras right before the game isn't a very good indicator of having your team together IMO.

No loss is good...but now they see that they can't waltz to victory every week. They need to use this as a wake up call..Get pissed and go out and pound GB. lets see how they bounce back..Nothing better than smacking AAron and the Pack around. Time to man up and show last night was just a fluke.

& now I will gladly sign off to avoid the deluge of idiotic posts about Dak. Have fun my fellow brethren & sistas.

Amen to this. I have been critical of Dak in the past, but this loss is a collective loss. Dak was one of the consistent players on offense last night...probably the only one aside from Lael.

Oh..& btw... Our JV level head coach got outcoached again.

It felt like a Garrett influenced game. I wonder if he inserted himself more this week. For the 1st 3 games we saw so much pre-snap motion and creativity. We saw zero last night ...

Hmmmmmmmm

Just sit back & clap clown. Let the creative minds do the heavy lifting.

My two cents have been deposited. Happy Monday folks!

I'm not overly concerned with this loss, either. It always sucks to lose but just about all of the SB contenders struggled this week mostly with lesser competition (KC, NE, LAR, DAL). Tons of season left - should be a good learning experience for Moore.

Cowboys were only -2.5 point favorites at kick-off. Lost by 2. Not like we got blown out. This is NFL, it's an up and down league. The Rams got torched for 55 points today and they are absolutely still a Super Bowl favorite. I'll wait to jump off the ledge.
You sir are a smart person.

It's great to be humbled early in the season. That humble pie will help us in the stretch run.

This is not a loss on Dak...This is a lost on coaching, pure and simple. Playing not to lose and not playing to win will always get you beat with a good to great team
with a great HC. That is why Dallas can have a stable of good to great players yet will never will it all in the playoffs. Garrett knows how to lose to the great coaches
of the NFL.

And by Tampa. Goes to show you that even the best lose a game. Brings you down to earth.

The mandatory "relax" post.
I posted weeks ago about never getting too high and never getting too low and the knee jerkers in here tried to fry me over it.

Silliness..

I've seen enough of Jason Garrett to know what he brings to the table. Never will I get too excited over a win or loss ever again under his tutelege.
