The trade deadline arrives today at 4:00 p.m. ET. The Cowboys could be among the buyers.

“We’re always looking,” owner Jerry Jones told 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday, via Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. “That’s plenty of time. Let’s say we have consideration in the mill. We’re giving it thought. . . . To that end, anything is possible.”

Last year, the Cowboys traded for receiver Amari Cooper, boosting their passing game. Earlier this week, Jones told Clarence E. Hill, Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that the Cowboys could try to trade for a safety.

They need to do something if they're serious about winning (which is never a given with these goofs).

Minkah Fitzpatrick was the trade we needed to make earlier this season. I don't know who they're looking at now?

What they do or don't do will be very telling of what they honestly think of their chances this year.

Not really.
They can try to makes trades, but the other team needs to agree as well. At what price for each team and how bad they want to move a player or draft picks.

They tried, or supposedly tried last year with ET, but the price was too high. But the price was great for Cooper.

I don;t think anything is possible. For example, I don't think its possible that Dallas will trade for a top safety or DT because Jerry does not value these positions as much as the rest of the league.

They just traded for a 34 year old pass rusher. That didn’t tell you how they felt about their chances? They didn’t trade for him for the future.....

Well not only that but what team is trading a top safety and dt in October?

Who cost nothing. A 6th-round pick at best.

Dunno if this is the best place for this or not but I figured with all talk about the trade deadline I would look at Great Blue Norths current rankings for the 2020 Draft. Below is the current (as of 29 Oct) list from 20 to 32 in the first round as I assume that we will be picking in that range. I figured it was appropriate as folks are weighing the risks of giving up our 1st rounder, or the chance to potentially draft one of these guys:

20 Walker Little OT 6-7, 313 Stanford RSO
21 Xavier McKinney S 6-1, 200 Alabama JR
22 Laviska Shenault WR 6-2, 225 Colorado JR
23 Creed Humphrey C 6-5, 316 Oklahoma RSO
24 Dylan Moses ILB 6-3, 235 Alabama RSO
25 Jacob Eason QB 6-6, 228 Washington JR
26 Tee Higgins WR 6-4, 205 Clemson JR
27 Kristian Fulton CB 6-0, 192 LSU SR
28 Tyler Biadasz C 6-3, 321 Wisconsin JR
29 Alex Leatherwood OG 6-6, 310 Alabama JR
30 Bryce Hall CB 6-1, 200 Virginia SR
31 K'Lavon Chaisson OLB 6-4, 238 LSU RSO
32 Trey Adams OT 6-8, 306 Washington SR

Obviously a lot can and will change with these rankings as time goes on but it is at least a starting point.

If you really have the team to win it all, you trade whatever you have to.

Very soon, a bunch of these guys will be gone. Retirement and free agency will pick this roster apart, especially if they unload a bunch of money on Dak.

Tyron, Lee, Byron, Collins, Quinn, Crawford, Witten, Bennett, Cobb, Brown.....

Cooper might be gone if they franchise Dak. Zeke looks like he's got 2-3 good years left. Who knows about Zack's back or Lawrence's shoulder.

And as is typical, the Cowboys roster appears to be overrated in general. They're struggling to win the biggest lay-up division in football.

Today will give us a glimpse into their thoughts.
