The way he slices on his runs is insane. He's like a sharp knife. Making sharp and precise cuts. No player in the league has such cuts like that. His ankles have to hurt after every game to do stuff like that.

which to me bodes well for longevity

Yes, developing game knowledge and technique is what allows veteran players to continue to succeed as they age and lose some athletic ability.

Dez didn't gain much knowledge of anything and when his physical ability started to dip just a little in 2017, he fell off the map from a performance perspective.

Love the Coop man but did you notice how open he was on those completions?
Wonder when we face some defenses who can actually play proper pass defense with much closer windows if his numbers will be the same?
Throws can't be late, like some of these, or else!

Even with that I saw so many complaining about why the balls aren't being delivered on time....You can see him waiting/slowing up for the pass with DB's 5 yards away. If these were timing routes I would complain but I don't think they are.

Only about 1 year in and the chemistry he has with Dak would be hard to replace. And those sideline catches the last game were something I didn't think he really had in his repertoire.

I would say he wasn't the same talent since 2015 when his foot got injured.
Especially after trying to rush it back along with Romo for that NFC Least crown.

Yes, he had started to decline then; although, he was still very functional in 2016.

His drop off from 2016 to 2017 was dramatic. The stats don't really show the complete picture because he was still get double-team type of attention to some extent in 2016 but in 2017 some defenses put their #2 CB on him in man coverage with no help. Defenses started doubling Beasley on 3rd downs because they had an extra defender that was not worried about Dez.

Only dude that could possibly cover Cooper was Roy Williams (#31) back in his prime.

Cooper at the end of his rookie deal is gonna have more pro bowls and more 1000 yard seasons then Dez's entire career....... (cooper is a beast)

I read this quote and the very first thing that popped into my head was Donald Driver.

Exceptionally clean and smart WR, was able to have a long career because of it.

I'm guessing this why they went cold turkey cutting the cord.......they wanted him OFF the team. No pay cut or negotiation .......looking back, his days were numbered the day Romo retired.

Dak+Cooper, not Dak+Zeke, are the heart of this team. With Dak and Cooper, this team has a chance to win every single week, regardless of the opponent and where they play. If one of those two aren't playing, I have very little confidence this team can compete.

There's an article out there covering how he and Dak have elevated each other game. I said earlier this week we're at the start of something special brewing between these two. If they can get that tippy-toe (lol) sideline pass down, no team will stop them.
