How did Xavier Su'a Filo play?

I really didn't pay much attention. I remember Freddy and Collins missing their guy a few times but the left side of the line seemed better, I guess.

Apparently the run blocking still wasn't there, which the whole line is responsible for. How did XSF play yesterday?

It's always good not to hear is name get called. So just off that alone he did a decent job.

Yeah that alone is good. Got kinda tired of hearing Williams name 3 or 4 times a game

Funny you mention that bc on Cowboys The Break. They were sure the run game immediately would do better. Oline has been super bad.

That didn't happen.

Connor Williams has 5 total penalties for the season. He had 2 penalties in the Skins game and 1 or zero in all other games.

I'll give it to Sua-Filo, he played well today. I haven't watched the tape but it didn't seem like there were any obvious breakdowns in pass protection.

Last year Sturm credited him with giving up 8 sacks in 8 starts, today looks like a huge improvement over that.

Na it's not just him...the entire line looks lost in run blocking compared to the past few years. Frederick has been struggling as well, he's not the same player he was before his sickness.

Nick has been pushing for SuaFilo for a while. I'm looking forward to what he has to say about another dud of a run game.

Because its not. They would rather blame the oline rather than Zeke.

I think Zeke is the problem. He doesn't seem to hit the hole has hard and he is dancing to too much.

He wasn't speaking literally. He was just expressing his frustration with Williams. Because, it seemed like everytime we've had a big play called back or a third down conversion called back it was because of Williams. So Williams' mistakes stick out more than others.

Our off-line played lights out yesterday on pass blocking..
Let's hope it continues as without it our passing game will revert back to anemic city living....

It does seem like he’s been called out during broadcasts more than 5 times. I wonder if he was penalized and it was declined + how many times?

Perhaps the poor run blocking will mean that we see more screens to Zeke and try to get him into the open field so that he can terrorize those LBs and secondary players, as opposed to having him run into the middle of the pile.
