its good to have hope but the reality is that this team is going into a place where the home team hasn't lost a game in several years and the qb and coach are probably the all time best at what they do and we have a jv coaching staff at best I would say don't get your hopes up or you are going to be really disappointed
personally I have already counted it as a loss and moved on just hope they beat buffalo at home
I am counting this as a loss too looking at the rest of the schedule.
Cowboys cannot put together 2 good years in a row.
hate to say it but I agree....going to be in Disney with the family and will likely go to the Mickey Christmas party on Sunday rather than sit in the hote room screaming at the tv as we lose....I honestly have zero hope for this game, but that is ok....
It's an odd year. Brace for a letdown season lol.
My fandom enthusiasm level has been beaten down to a level in which I'll just take a signature home win over a contender at this point.
they have a pretty talented Defense in New England and it will be that unit that wins the game most likely.
Your quote is the story of this team under Garrett: “...the ultimate tease. We're going to show you fans what we're capable of but not when it really counts.” That is the short story of Garrett as HC.The Patriots are not without their problems and it is taking every bit of Belichick's coaching prowess, did you see him coachin' em up in that PHL game?
He's too smart a coach not to be concerned about what the DAL O can do with these weapons and a RB, or two and he wants to make a statement about how his D can control the #1 O in the league. And about that "two", think he isn't salivating at what he could do with Pollard? That one player could open up his O.
Of the 3 top dogs in the AFC, BAL, KC and NE, I'll take the Cowboys chances in NE over the other two with mobile QB's. The Cowboys have struggled with those types of QB's for decades going back to Randall Cunningham and even Tarkenton. Brady is the pure pocket passer so they have a shot at hitting him and if you watched him after the hits in PHL, Tommy no likey hitey.
Bullet, you bring up the most frustrating part of being a Cowboys fan and I would add that NO game last year but that was a home game but it was the same type of game, the ultimate tease. We're going to show you fans what we're capable of but not when it really counts. That puzzling question if they could do that then, why not now?
Good stuff, Bullet.
elaborate? both afc teams??
Three of the 9 Cowboys teams that have so far made the playoffs under Jason Garrett all shared one thing in common that gave us hope they could make some noise in the playoffs: They all had a signature road wins against a real contender.
The Cowboys will have a chance for a signature road win Sunday. It is probably the biggest opportunity this team will have to make a statement that it is a real contender or just another pretender.
- 2014: Beat defending SB champ Seahawks 30-23 in Seattle
- 2016: Beat Steelers (who went on to the AFC championship game) in Pitts 35-30
- Also in 2016 Beat Packers in GB (who went on to play in NFC championship)
- 2018: Beat defending SB champ E-girls in Filly 27-20
hush dont you ruin Thanksgiving for me..josh allen is a wild card and the bills will commit to running the ball which is what I think more teams should do to beat Dallas.
They also have an excellent defense that has the ability to slow the passing game down so you do not want to play from behind.
Then throw in it is a short week and Dallas is already pretty banged up and buffalo has very few injuries, they regularly have one or so players on their injury report.
Also, Philly lost to new england but beat buffalo so the more important game is buffalo. we need to have wins over the teams they beat in case it gets to common opponents. There is a very good chance Dallas and philly both end up 9-7 or 8-8 and split with each other while going 5-1 vs the division. So common opponents Like the bears and rams are really important games and moreso than The pats and rams....
Obviously I want them to win them all of course I am just worried about that bills game on a short week and think they could really blow the season on thanksgiving.
Same here. I mean, I would love a win, but I had this game earmarked as a loss so it's like playing with house money, especially since they beat Philly too. Need to definitely beat the Bills though.I will be honest, I 100% do not care about this game. I am more concerned with them beating buffalo which I view as more important.

I can't wait to hear how beating the 9-1 patriots is less important than beating a 7-3 bills team.
.
I just did a few posts above. The eagles lost to the patriots but beat the bills making the bills game essentially more important because Dallas HAS to win in case the nfc east goes to the common opponents tie breaker which it has a good chance of if the teams split and also go 5-1 in the division.
I also feel it makes beating the bears essential also.
clearly you want to win them all.

The Pats lose games every year. I hope this is one of them. That streak will end at some point. Might as well be at our hands.its good to have hope but the reality is that this team is going into a place where the home team hasn't lost a game in several years and the qb and coach are probably the all time best at what they do and we have a jv coaching staff at best I would say don't get your hopes up or you are going to be really disappointed
Being all-time great at something doesn't mean they are currently that good. Tom Brady is certainly not as good as he has been. The Pats are a beatable team this season and they are ripe to be beaten at home.
They are. Thus the 1.All 9-1 teams are beatable.
A road win against the defending SB champs would also jumpstart this team’s confidence and identity. It’s the best opponent this team has to legitimize itself...or delegitimize itself. Love games like this because it truly reveals what your team is or isn’t.A big win on the road against a contender always seems to jumpstart a playoff run for sure.
That's true by the very definition of being 9-1. Even a 18-0 team is beatable as the Giants showed us in SB XLII.All 9-1 teams are beatable.
No doubt. Just saying they play these games for a reason. The outcome is not predetermined.
The Cowboys have a chance to win this game. It’s not likely but while NE’s defense has been great, their offense has been underwhelming. If I was a betting man (I’m not) I would put cash on the pats. But it’s not unthinkable to say Dallas has a chance.
