Tonight's game may well decide the fate of the Cowboys legacy moving forward;
If the Cowboys win, it could restore their confidence enough to make a run at the NFC East title, giving Jerry a reason to extend Jason Garrett's contract.
But if they lose, tonight may end Garrett's tenure in Dallas and a new chance for the Cowboys to return to the greatness of the past.
I really think a loss tonight- especially if the Cowboys don't play well- will cause Jerry to be forced to make a change.

If it comes down to winning and Jerry keeping Garrett, I'll take a loss every time...

Problem is, as long as Jerry and his boy are in charge, nothing is going to change. We're the Raiders of the NFC...

If they lose, they are still in 1st place.

If they lose again next week, they can still win the NFC East by beating the Eagles and Commanders.

This game, win or lose, is just step 13 in the Cowboys' most underachieving season ever.

That's just not the case.

Garrett's future with the Cowboys will be decided by what the Cowboys do (or don't do) in January.

Winning tonight actually has little bearing on what Garrett's fate will be. If they lose, it will just be another game they lost that they should have won. That are already so many of those, one more won't matter.

Reminds me of one of those “must win” game threads that come up every week beginning in week 1.

All signs point to Jerry already ready to move on from Garrett regardless
Man I hope you are correct. I am so ready to see somebody else at the helm of this ship. As a fan though, I still want to see my boys win it all! But that is soooo tempered this year by the very real fear that if by some miracle it were to happen that Jerry would give JG that new contract!

And that has just made for the weirdest experience for me this year...

Go Cowboys... Sort of??? :huh:
