This team is contaminated

JJ or Garrett or probably both have contaminated this team. The constant speak of “doing better”, “building on this”, “put our heads down and work” schtick is getting seriously old.

Even after bad losses they still talk this way. And after Maher’s stupid comment, it shows these clowns are just as bad as the guys who run this organization.

Trying to sell to the fans during the week that things are going to get better and learning from their mistakes yet the product of that weeks worth of “work” amounted to literally nothing come game day.

Like Fisher said on the radio this morning, those guys were getting chippy at practice not because they’re tired of losing, it’s because they just plain suck. No discipline, no effort, and no fire to win. This team from the ground up is a dumpster fire.

Agreed. We need a HC strong enough to change the culture around here, but it only looks this bad because our players are just done. They're "chippy" because they want this bad season to end. They're just dead men walking right now, and I think they realized that.

Another "Turning this thing around" is needed.

Stephen Jones is on it! I can see it on 105.3 The Fan now.
"We still have a chance to right this ship and turn things around. We control our destiny!".
What is he supposed to say? "Our coach has lost the locker room and we are folding up shop?" You realize they have to try and sell this right? Do I agree? Not at all.

Only hope is the Jones clan gets busted for money laundering or cooking their books somewhere.

I think Troy Aikman is right. The owner should not be talking to the media like he is the head coach. He should not be talking about players' injuries or performance outside the locker room after a game. The players have to know that they are accountable to the coaches and only the coaches. As we await the firing of Jason Garrett and the hiring of a new head coach, we need to hope that the next HC coach demands an end to this nonsense. Then again, this is why I don't believe Garrett will be fired or that a new top coach will be hired. If other head coach candidates see what's going on and tell Jerry they cannot be the guy if he does what he does then he will not hire them. He may be stuck with Garrett whether we or he likes it or not.

He doesn't have to say anything. All he has to say is, "We're going as the team goes." or "We're coasting along the NFC East right now" not necessarily pessimistic, but not overly optimistic. I'm more than 100% sure no one is buying what they are selling anymore, so why are they still trying to sell it? Didn't someone openly tweet that Stephen spoke to Meyer? Everything is already out there. I get players and coaches and owners have to be optimistic, but as owners, they aren't forced to say this kind of stuff.

There come a point where you don't fool anyone. We are past that point with the Jones boys. The fans deserve and would appreciate honest answers from them and not fluff at this point. We are far passed that.

at this point. with season down and out...everyone is defending themselves...its not a team any more...its everyone for themselves...Jones made sure of that three weeks ago...and he has since been worse with his mixed messages

Id prefer both of them to shut up and sit in the owners box. Not the world we live in.

Guys like Witten need to be thrown in too. Honestly when your main attribute is spewing platitudes that make good sound bytes, something is wrong. Starts at the top and goes through the coach to the players.

No accountability at the top permeates the entire organization. This is Bus. ops. 101. If the Jones family continues to run day to day operations, this will never change.
