I am not in favor of college coaches who recruited the best high school players in the country then compiled ridiculous winning records with that talent. The Cowboys need a coach who has demonstrated he can get more out of the talent he has because there is no recruiting in the NFL. There is the opposite- a salary cap. I am not saying Meyer or Riley would not be better coaches than Garrett in the NFL, but I do think there is risk to those guys.

I think Harbaugh could do wonders with this Dallas team, but guys like him have a short shelf life. If players hate playing for him, he probably has two years before this starts to cause problems. Something tells me Jerry wants a coach who will hang around a little longer. So do I.

Suggesting Rod Marinelli as an option discredits the entire list and the guy who made it, especially with Dallas in the middle of what looks like a defensive disaster. Seriously, what does Marinelli add to this team as a HC?

Finally, beware of the Johnny come latelys. Greg Roman looks like a genius in Baltimore, but I think Lamar Jackson has a lot to do with that. Dak cannot run like Jackson. Did Roman make Jackson or the other way around. I think Jackson is making Roman look good. Robert Saleh is another guy. He seems like he ticks all the boxes, but the season is not over yet. The 49ers have great defensive personnel. I bet even Marinelli could win with that defense. Maybe Saleh is the guy but I'd want to know a lot more about him.

Its a tough call and I hope Jerry does his homework. He has an underperforming team and the guy he picks needs to fix that.

I am for college coaches that came into poor programs that were not perennially getting top talent. Turning the program into a top program for first time in history. Getting a new job and doing it again.

Ladies and gentlemen I give you Matt Rhule.

Turned around obscure Temple program for only two 10 win seasons in their history.

Turned around Baylor in 3 years from 1-11 to 11-1.

Parcells/Coughlin coach tree.

I want him.

The old worn out not true mantra 'who would want to coach the Cowboys?' doesn't apply as there are several great choice to succeed the clapper.

Let me introduce you to a little guy, you might have never heard of him, goes by the name of Urban Meyer..

No, seriously though. If that's what impressed you about Rhule, check out Meyers career BEFORE Florida and Ohio State.

What he did at Bowling Green and Utah was pretty good.

What the Ravens did was when they drafted Jackson they studied his style of play in college and basically revamp their entire offense around Jackson.

Our coaches are incapable of doing anything like what the Ravens did.

I just hope that we have coaches that can actually coach. Not this butt slapping constantly clapping robot on the sidelines.

Romo coaching is like when Lance Harbor took over the duty when the team forced Bud Kilmer out at half time.
