Dallas won't just have a new coaching staff in 2020. The Cowboys could have a very different roster next season. There's a great chance here to reset half the roster, while still building on the core pieces.

Major decisions forthcoming.

How we deal with the roster is gonna be very interesting
MM may be a fine coach but he’s not Parcells
He’s gonna need talent to win
We need a A+ draft for sure

Most of them are easy decisions though. Everyone in green should be brought back by either picking up their option or a veteran minimum contract. Even if we ultimately part ways with someone like Ross, I don't think RFA deals are guaranteed. Everyone in red will likely be too expensive or not worth bringing back. Even then...*most* of the guys in black will be relatively low value deals. Austin and Cobb won't be that expensive so we *could* bring back both, but 1 is a pretty safe bet. I can also see us bringing back 1 out of the 3 between Heath, Frazier and Thompson. I can see us bringing back 1 out of 3 between Armstrong, March and Thomas. After that Lee's deal will likely not be about the money. So we have to make a decision on Prescott, Cooper, Quinn and Jones.

The past 3 seasons they went into the off season with 18 to 20 URFA's. This is not really much different except more core players contracts are up. But many on here feel they all need to be replaced anyway.

I think I addressed this last year as well. Many will be resigned to decent contracts, but it doesn't mean they can't be replaced in the draft or other same type FA's.

They will sign the players they need to to keep the core on field group the same. It will all work itself out. Lose a player to FA, they will sign an equivalent player most likely.
But I also look at it this way. We will lose more than we sign this year, unlike last year. We could end up with 4 decent comp picks for 2021. A new coaching staff will do more with less for 2020 and can still make the playoffs, but then make that lighting jump in 2021 and beyond.

The Cowboys have a ton of salary cap room and lets face it, some of those free agents need to go.

I'm not a huge Dak fan, but I am certainly interested to see what a better HC can do for him. He was going nowhere under the clapper.

The biggest problem with this is that Dallas is going to spend all of its money just trying to keep an 8-8 team together. The only real hope for upgrades is if Dallas can sign some good bargain free agents or the draft.

Based on what I've seen the past 2-3 seasons, more than half of that list is very replaceable.

However, we NEED a good draft. 2017-2019 were full of misses that could have filled out the bottom half of this roster.

IMO, the bolds are the players the front office re-signs. Either by tag, tender or long term deal.
Red is our honest offer/check the market and let us know players. Guys they wouldn't mind keeping, but won't be distraught if they leave for a bigger check.

Underlined guys are the players they move on from which have an option or tender.

Looks like it’s time for Stephen to be rejuvenated too. He and Mike have a lot of work to do over the next couple of months.

Resign the best guys. Bring in a few vonn bells and AJ Klein’s and draft well

I see 12 I would keep....the others can be replaced. Dallas has the cap to make this a very exciting year. If you are going to stir the pot, then stir the dang thing.
