Kellen Moore to Philadelphia Eagles ?

The local guys on 105.3 the fan radio were commenting on this whispering rumor. Likely brought up in speculation that McCarthy may not have any need for Moore since he’s the likely one calling the plays.
(i'm waiting to hear that its official that Moore is staying here on McCarthy's staff)

But even if Moore accepts an job offer for Eagles OC, head coach Doug Pederson himself still calls the plays and the offense goes thru him as well. But I guess at least he'll still on someone's staff vs not being here at all.

Didn't you post this already?

It's not a fact. It's just guessing based on a MMQB article in SI saying Moore might get OC interest from other teams if he's pushed out by McCarthy.

That doesn't make a lot of sense for Moore since, as you said, Pederson is still going to be calling the plays.

A question mark needs to be added to the end of this thread title.

I'm seeing multiple reports (not just Rapaport) saying Moore is interested in coaching in Washington at the college level...

This notion that a HC who chooses to call his own plays doesn't need an OC is absurd. Calling plays on game day is one thing, putting together a game plan and instructing the offensive personnel is quite another.

I guess this comes from the "What does Garrett actually do" silliness that since he doesn't call plays, there's nothing else for a head coach to do. Pretty sure some of you never played a down of football in your life.

MM is interested in keeping KM as his OC and doing all the leg work week to week while MM calls the plays on Sunday. This would be good for KM if he can check his ego at the door and become the student again.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Moore is still under contract to the Cowboys. I strongly doubt they would give the Eagles permission to talk to him.

BR stated that MM has mentioned he is contemplating keeping Moore if KM wants to stay..

if the Cowboys (per McCarthy) had released Kellen from his contract, he would be a FA, and can pursue any coaching offer gig he desires.
