I’m fine either way

if he stays - he may help McCarthy continue his commitment to being innovated and current simply by giving new insights and ideas

if he stays - he may be a voice in Jerry’s ear and be vulnerable to hearing and responding to player complaints. I’m not sure he’s seasoned enough to be able to effectively navigate that maze which I think was shown at times last year

if he goes - he positions himself for a college HC gig where I think he would be excellent. I’m not sure of the Boise State situation but eventually I imagine he would end up there and be a God

You'd be out of your mind leaving a situation like Dallas to go to the university level.

It'd be different if it was a promotion, but c'mon.
And why is that? A lot of college coaches make more than NFL coaches, have bigger stadiums, and have more control over their teams/players, especially compared to the Cowboys.

Maybe last week's threads about Jason Garrett telling all those with expiring contracts are free to search for work elsewhere were wrong or I am missing something. It was said that both the OL coach and the OC were still under contract. If so and MM wants Moore, then what is the issue then? Only way he is let out of his contract is if Jerry lets him out of it. I think it is awesome that Jerry is letting MM pick his own people, just surprised that if MM wanted to keep a coach that was already under contract, that there is a decision to be made at all for Moore unless they fear he would grow resentful. Maybe someone can explain this to me. I don't get it......

I don't really care.. I just want McCarthy calling plays.
I don’t think McCarthy has to call the plays. What he needs to do though is be fully involved with establishing the game plan and offensive emphasis. And, without a doubt, be prepared in a critical situation to step in and direct/redirect what play is called based on what he wants to see.

He may not have too but I expect he will be calling the plays, that may change down the line but hiring into a new team I would put my fate in my own hands.
