Idk if this has been mentioned yet, I believe the Cowboys are 2nd in the NFL with the Commanders being number 1 having 5 go into the HOF (Ray Flaherty, Curly Lambeau, Vince Lombardi, George Allen and Joe Gibbs) and its about to be 6 after Shanahan gets in. So far we have:

Tom Laundry
Bill Parcells
and now Jimmy Johnson

As you know they other five where duds. Heres hoping McCarthy will be the fourth.

Agreed. I wouldn't doubt it Coach McCarthy knows this and was one reason he wanted and accepted this head coaching job. What better opportunity for himself to hopefully one day make it to the NFL Hall Of Fame than by adding to his 1 Super Bowl ring with the Packers by adding a few more rings for America's Team, the Dallas Cowboys!

Add in all the assistants that Landry had. Ditka was here for 10 years before taking the Bears job. Dan Reeves is probably a borderline hall of famer. If Marv Levy is in after losing all those Super Bowls Dan Reeves should be in.

For the longest time I wanted Reeves to succeed Landry as coach. Of course that was in the 80's before Jerry bought the team. Always like Dan.

And the Deadskins don't even have Ray Flaherty in their ROH. Talk about stupid. They have Lombardi though who was only there one year. lol

What a dilemma...
Would have liked to see Dan Reeves at the helm. He might have turned them around, but we will never know.
It's like a rose garden. Jimmy did his magic and left. When the flower died, all that remained was thorns.

A head coach has never one a Super Bowl on 2 different teams. Here’s to hoping Magic Mike is the 1st to do so...,

I don't see the need for teams saying they have 4 or 5 HC's in the HOF just because they coached there, such as Vince for 1 year.

How many coaches have won a SB for those teams while coaching those teams. And are in the HOF.
We have Tom and Jimmy.
Washington, Allen and Gibbs.
I guess the Steelers have 3 though. But now 2 in the HOF.
Any others?

Dallas actually has 3 HC's with SB wins if you count Switzer, which the record books shows that. Don't give me it was Jimmy's team, then you can't count the 6 SB's NE has because they all are tainted. As well, the last 2 by the Steelers belong to the refs. Well actually one against Dallas in. the 70's do also.

So Dallas and SteAlers both have 3 SB winning coaches.
