Apparently, Bill Belichick got up in front of the committee and convinced them to vote him in.

Gosselin had tried, but the short career of Jimmy kept the committee from voting yes.

Belichick fixed that.

Jerry, I am still waiting on one of the 500 head coaches that can take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl.

Jimmy Johnson was the main reason the Cowboys had a team that became the 90's Dallas Cowboys Dynasty. John Wooten, and Bob Ackles were the personnel men that help him assemble that roster that was 3 deep at every position which is why Jimmy was the GM defacto of the Dallas Cowboy from 1989-1993.

Proof is that Jimmy Johnson was able to fine another Hall of Fame DE in Jason Taylor, Hall of Fame nominee Zach Thomas, and had lock down CBs of Patrick Surtain and Sam Madison having his last draft pick Brock Marion all make Pro Bowls. Just think how long the Dynasty would have lasted with those defensive players added to the Cowboys 90's roster?

I was not happy that the NFL put Jerry Jones in the Hall of Fame before the man responsible for paying Jones debts off with a franchise dynasty...Jimmy Johnson thanks for being the man that replaced the man... the man in the funny hat with man known as helmet head

I'm of the opinion that, Jerry WILL put him in it but, he'll still look like a donkey doing it after the HOF does. On Jimmy's wikipedia page, Jerry is quoted as saying Jimmy isn't in the ROH because of, "Disloyalty ... I couldn't handle the disloyalty." from ESPN the magazine 2014.

Them two butting heads, has to be their biggest football regrets, whether they admit it or not. There's not many fans who aren't of the opinion we win 4 in a row with Jimmy still coaching, possibly 5. Jimmy would've been 1st ballot HOF had that happened.

Jerry thought they were friends, and then Jimmy treated him very bad in the public bar, so that is what did it, he hurt jerrys feelings, so
that is evidently a life long grudge with jerry lol no forgiveness for that.
