Im not saying I’m anti Davis as he’s right behind Dean, Johnson and Green for me.

Just saying it’s buyer beware. As he’s likely a two down guy and it will be perfect for teams like SF, Dallas etc who rotate defensive lineman every few snaps / series. It’s another reason I’m happy Quinn is back.

He’d be in a good position here as we have deep depth at DT. I’m sick of being ran all over up the gut.

im saying that’s exactly what we need, a DT who can stop the run and get us to 3rd and 7 and make the other team one dimensional

there is no buyer beware when the buyer is getting what they need

You're never going to get a 350 lbs NT that's going to be a 10+ sack guy.

I think a lot of Davis' value is that he gets push up the middle and collapses the pocket which helps opportunities for the other rushers.

But the problem is he doesn’t really push the pocket…he had 8 pressures the hole season which is below average.

He’s a really, really good run defender but that’s all your getting. I just think it’s an awful pick taking someone like that early in the draft.

If you see Vita Vea or Haloti Ngata type of ability then obviously he’s worth taking. I don’t see him as that type of player. More of a Dexter Lawrence or Derrick Brown. IMO we can do better.

I don’t know what the average is but more than 8-14 ish if we’re talking about the first 2 rounds.

I was a HUGE Alim McNeil fan last year and he had 20+ stops and 20+ pressures with above average athleticism. He was taken in the 3rd and was a much, much better prospect IMO.

I really like Davis I just wouldn’t touch him in the 1st 2 rounds, maybe not even round 3.
