1 Key to winning. 3rd phase. Special Teams

Are we all forgetting 3 phases help you win: Offense, Defense.......and SPECIAL TEAMS!!!!!!.........the first half of this season, it seemed they would average one blocked punt on a regular basis that really help set the tone of the game, but then havent blocked one since halfway. It can be classified as the turnover battle but a ST blocked punt really seems to energize the team especially when one is needed. I remember the game 30 yrs in candlestick, it wasnt a blocked punt, but on a punt, moose johnson put his helmet on the ball of the player receiving the kick and forced a fumble for a turnover. That really set the tone for the rest of the game. This is the one area they really need to step up to have a great chance to win this game.

"Small" kick returners are a good thing, as long as they're fast & elusive. Smaller tackling target, and it's not like they need to truck anybody.

It would be great if FOX puts up that graphic on the broadcast right before a Gould kick, only to have him miss it. Let the jinx happen!! LOL
