13 wins probably gets them in the discussion for the #1 seed. Have to go 8-0 at home and 5-4 on the road but considering how bad they looked at Arizona, it's not a good sign when they still have to go to SF, Philly, Buffalo, Miami, and Washington.

They are like the Brees/Payton Saints (except minus the great offense). They will need homefield advantage to make any type of playoff run.

I wonder if that theory our defense is much better playing on turf vs grass has any merit.

Unfortunately, that Arizona loss may eventually cost them the division title and a chance at a home playoff game
Their destiny is in their own hands...too many top shelf games to go...

OTOH - that 3rd game could turn out to be inconsequential in the postseason seeding.
2022 season - week 7___
3-4 49ers were behind 5 other NFC teams__
6-0 Eagles, 6-1 Giants, 5-2 Cowboys, 5-1 Vikings, 4-3 Seahawks.
SF then went on to win their last 10 games to finish 13-4 and obtain the 2nd seed playoff berth.

14 games to go. Let the season play out before lamenting a Cowboys loss the last Sunday in September.

That won’t be the game that does it, IMO. We play Philly twice. If we deserve the division, we will beat them. If they beat us, one game in Arizona won’t matter.
