Martin's deal expires shortly into the 2025 season. If he's not designated as a post June 1st cut, then his cap hit for 25 becomes 26mil.
If designated as a post 6/1 cut, his cap hit is 9.4mil.

They can always throw a retirement party later lol.

With D. Wilson his pre june 1st cut savings is 5.35mil.
His post cut savings is 6.5mil, but after June 1st you'll actually get the savings
No point in making him a 6/1 cut. Just cut him and get the 5.35mil savings right away.

Jevon Holland isn't signing a 8mil a year deal. If he was, Miami would of locked him up already. He's injured now, but his first 3 seasons he was very good to great for Miami. No way he signs a deal under mid teens in AAV.

It's great to dream but why do Cowboys fans do this to themselves only to be disappointed?

As a rule, I generally agree with this premise. However, with the way Dak and CD's contracts are currently constructed. They will have to restructure them next year.
When they do, they will have so much money that it will be almost impossible to not spend in FA.
This is the year they spend, it will be out of their control.
