even for the current NFL that is big time turnover. Thankfully it looks like most of those are upgrades

Big upgrade AND the younger starters will get BETTER.

I also think McCarthy will do a much better job of calling plays that take into account the strong defense we have.

And this on a team that made the playoffs the last two seasons with 12-5 records.
Never rest on laurels; always continue to improve the roster.

Overall, a stronger roster.

The upgrades are all fairly sizable. Even the "slight upgrades" could pay off huge for the team, but I'm rating as of today.
The downgrades are all fairly minor other than TE.

Iirc Thomas was listed the starter over Wilson. Bell was the nickel backer.

McCarthy on the local Cowboys weekly show this morning said we had a 35% turnover on roster . Which he said typically you’d have at least 25%. These type of turnovers on rosters are actually very normal in Cap era.

And we have a few on this list which aren’t new players but were injured to begin 2022 like Tyron and Gallup not to mention Pollard who wasn’t really a bench player . The other 2 changes on offense were both Cap casualties in Shultz and McGovern.

Our biggest wholesale changes were on defense. And LS and K on special teams which would be closer to the 35% change McCarthy stated ( which was entire roster not just starters) than the 50% presented here which is a little misleading .
