Just counting the players I think Howley brings the total up to 11. Am I missing anyone?
Thats an incredible number to have for one team. Granted they had 4 players who made it in based on their time with a previous team (Adderly, Alworth, Ditka, Gregg).
I really wish the current team would pepper the roster with high profile vets this way, even a little bit.

I loved bringing in TY Hilton. Probably waited too long. But that is the exception not the rule for the Cowboys. We all know the Jones clan blueprint very well by now.

Adderly and Ditka were still near their prime; and Alworth was as well. Gregg was still very solid and was important for much of the season.

I still say the 71 Boys were the best Cowboys team ever. More talent starting than any other.
