Enjoy. This was before they knew how good they were.

Defense without a lot of stars but collectively very good.
Think they led the league in fewest yards per game in either 92 or 93.
The offense got all the press
But the defense is a major reason for those 3 early 90s SB's

Funny, it was about at that time when Gibbs suddenly said, “Welp, I think it is time for me to retire!

That team was something else. Jimmy only drafted guys who loved contact and were fast for their position. Then, he ran them longer and harder than any other team in the league. On top of that, they all felt like they were one mistake away from losing their job.

All of that put together made a team that hit harder, ran faster, studied more, and made fewer mistakes. They were a machine, and they were always in better shape than the other team.

That old clip where Jimmy says, “Fatigue makes cowards of us all.”, was more than just coach-speak for Johnson. He ran those teams until they were always the team that was in better shape than their opponents. Other teams just about quit in a lot of their games.

It was awesome for Dallas fans and just awful for everyone else.

Now the league fines us for making the players practice hard.

This is the kind of line you want to establish , difficult in todays Salary capped days but not impossible.

I love seeing Issac Holt make plays. I remember he was such an impact player.

That 92 opener vs Washington....

I've been in several domes when we were getting our butts kicked, I've been in Yankee Stadium for much postseason craziness, but I have never heard a place more loud and crazy than Texas Stadium that night.

That's when we put the league on notice that we were ready.

I saw them win NFC titles at home twice thereafter, but neither topped that night.

I sat in the upper end zone where the punt was blocked. They were $21 each face value.

Youngest team in the league, and defense had rookies, 2nd and 3rd year guys contributing. And don't forget special teams, best in the league...

James Washington… dude was just always around the ball. As my old coach would say: The ball always finds him.

It is funny how some guys just get turnovers. For years the team hasn’t paid much attention to that in prospects… now finally they are looking for guys who tend to get turnovers, and what do you know? The turnovers are coming again.

Danny Noonan was on that team?

I’ve long believed the deep dline made that team and I’ve wondered why we’ve never went back to that philosophy. We see it here and we also saw it the same year in the Super Bowl against the Bills.

JJ had a lot of great speed talent with Dolphins too, and with few first rounders. Kept wasting those on offense.

College defense was pretty damn good too. No one can ever say JJ can’t mold a defense.
