I don't have any Qbs with a 1st rd grade
I know that QBs will go in top ten just don't see a QB with a 1st round grade
1.Travis Hunter
2.Mason Graham
3.Tet Mcmillian
4.Abdul Carter
5.K. Banks
6.W Johnson
7.L Burden
8.N Scrouton
9.E Egubka

10.A Jentry
11. Loveland

This could all change but based on how they played Im sure the boards will change after Workouts

Workouts?

Why?

Just look at tape. I dont care if you can squat 800lbs...what does the tape say.

Im not using measurements or workouts to make a distinction on two players I am a toss up on. Im just not. You can move down the ladder to whatever trait you weigh most heavily next...I just dont think it matters.

Workouts, Worderlic...who cares.

You are right....Sanders and Ward are likely overdraft. I would probably add Tyler Warren and Walker

Well, Im glad you asked lol Because so many are blindsided and draft a player higher than they should go. Some small school players who had a pretty good season and a very good Combine

it's cool that a minor industry spawned from the combine and all...I just think tape is where it's at...

Is there proof a wr that benches 225 over 20 times is more durable than a guy that can only do it 8 times? Who cares if they both producing similar.

NBA has same crap. I get that size and length are a huge deal in the nba and teams drool when a guy has crazy height because it's so disruptive in the game...but give me the 6'7 all around baller with tape over the project 6'11 guy with bad fundamentals

I guess I've just grown old and frustrated.

I can't wait for the combine. We usually see some guys do really well and shoot up the board while other run a slow 40 or bench like an old man and drop down.

I want to see some of the 40 times for the guys at the top of the board on offense. I am especially interested in Jeanty's 40 time. If he runs a legit 4.2 he is going to get a lot of attention, but if he runs 4.5 he could slip down the board a few spots.

For WRs its all about the the quickness and explosiveness drills, not the bench press. I find I hard to believe Randy Moss could get 1 rep of 225. But he was both good and fairly durable.

no one gets a 4.2 so your whole post is kind of dumb

I want a heavy defensive draft for Dallas but McMillian on one side Lamb on the other side and Tolbert in the slot would really beef up the passing attack and give Dak all the help he needs . 6’5” YAC . At 12 the Pokes would have to get creative and move up .

4.2?

You're drinking WAY too early today, brother.

He (and everyone else) will be absolutely thrilled if gets a 4.40

in the history of the NFL Combine fifteen players broke 4.3
only ONE, Champ Bailey, will ever have a shot at the HOF

Darrel Green is the only other one who broke that mark but NOT at the combine/
Deion Sanders did not run at the combine.

If you can do a 4.4 you are FAST.

and you might notice everyone who was ever blinding fast was either in track or was pretty lean. Jeanty is NOT lean. If he can break 4.5 he will be even higher on the charts

Yeah, if he's in the 4.4's he'll be great.

Fwiw....a 4.4 or faster IS a big deal.

A bunch of Hall of Fame RBs ran that fast but didn't run in the combine

Many of the all-time great players were 4.4 or faster
  • Bob Hayes
  • Randy Moss
  • Bo Jackson
  • Hershall Walker
  • Tony Dorsett
  • Eric Dickerson
just to name a few

Just because they didn't run in the combine doesn't mean their speed wasn't a huge reason for their success

Teams have GPS data on all of the players now from in game data, which includes measuring game play speed. Getting 40 times from the combine is less relevant than it has ever been.

speed is very important but I made the point about how many of the fastest times came from prospects that never made it much in the NFL. All they had was speed.
Then look at players like Everson Walls who had such a slow forty time he went undrafted.

Ah....yes. Very true

Prove to me a wr that can bench 225 over 20 times is a better blocker than a wr that can only bench it 5 times. Does long arms matter here?

What is that extra strength going to if not for blocking or durability?

The combine is spectacle for the purchasing farmers....most of it is hoopla when tape matters most.

It goes back to some ancient ideology of "I just want the strongest mule...I don't care if he can play the game or not"
