O-Line scares me the most and bringing in a retread for depth at this point doesn't ease my concerns. We have one potential starting bookend that may start missing time in the first third of the season, and the other coming off an injury that has people questioning "if" he'll be ready for the start of the season. When one domino falls, the shell game begins and I don't believe we're filling the void with high-ceiling caliber athletes. No one will be hoping for O-line health more than the Cowboys brass as they left the door wide open for criticism by not addressing the need early in the draft.

All true.

Obviously the difference is management thinks much more highly of Edoga and Waletzko than fans do.

I don't agree sometimes I get tired of fans thinking that all players need to be found in the top half of the draft literally here we have examples like Terrence Steele where was he taken oh right he was undrafted, TylerB fourth round, it didn't Lael Collins go undrafted as well?? Doug free 4th rounder, that's some pretty good undrafted free agents and low realm players or actual free agents that we brought in this year actually given a chance develop into solid players..

You're making the assumption that no one we drafted this year or brought in in free agency is going to work out I mean that's an opinion that's not a fact picking in the first and second round is definitely not a guarantee do you not remember all the questionable second round picks we've had here? Or all the first round bus other players draft? Can we not get through training camp and preseason and see where some of these guys fit in?

Heck nobody even liked Tyler Smith last year they were telling the Cowboys how dumb they were to reach for a player in the first round because this guy wasn't on their radar he was a project right that's why fans need to stop being GM's they brought all these players in and free agency and through the draft because they have possibility to develop and be good we don't know how it's gonna work out.. And we keep having people start these threads and it's the same thing we talked about all offseason and yet we still haven't started padded practices in training camp or played a single snap in preseason and we're asking the same questions ask this question a week before the season then we'll kind of have a better idea there might be some surprises in a lot of positions from players we never thought to even give a half a look..

Technically we're only trying to fill depth on the offensive line or a starter at left guard, everything else is covered. We don't know how some of the guys who were here last year are going to develop like well let's go and others there's people on this team like Bostick, edoga, and they brought in players nobody's giving even a half a chance and you don't know how it's going to work out because that's how bad you talked about Tyler Smith, Terrence Steele, Doug free these guys all turned out to be good players.

So can we calm down on all positions right now and let us at least get through the preseason games that's where we're going to be watching them actually play live games or scrimmages at the very least.

Thank you for blessing me
With a mind to rhyme and two hyped feet." ....M.C. Hammer

BTW, i was gonna say bring back OT Russell Okung from retirement...just read he went on a water diet and lost over 100 lbs...so i guess he is retired after all. LOL.....

RB

LB

Other than K, there are no glaring holes, mostly just depth needs.

I will say the RB position needs either someone added to the “committee” of RBs who will be featured this year or have one of the current roster guys like Ronald Jones, Malik Davis or Deuce Vaughn show they are capable, reliable weapons when needed.

LB looks thin to me when it comes to depth.

1) O-Line. Every other position on offense depends on it.

2) RB. If Pollard misses time, this will be a significant weakness.

3) Kicker. Such an important position.

4) Linebacker. Run defense could be better, but I like some of the young players Dallas has here. Not so worried about LB.

I could acknowledge a need for strength at backup middle linebacker as to more than a special team veteran type.

People seem to forget that Rico Dowdle showed more pop than Malik Davis. He was ahead of Davis on the depth chart too until he got hurt. I think there are some unknowns that are scaring everyone.
