I may have to go with Nick Eatman here and say Donovan Wilson as well.
The thing with Wilson is will he get enough snaps to make a Pro Bowl although PBs just don't have the shine it used to

so I'm not sure that's a subject to where you saying a player is taking the next step, Wilson getting a new contract we see his worth his coaches and his owner see his worth, I think he's already took the next step

so the Pro Bowl so many players don't show up for it anymore and they bow out and guys make it I

I just don't think it has any kind of Prestige or honor it once did.

The day one roster is still very respected, almost every single player on the day one roster makes either the NFL top 100 or all pro team as well

It's the alternates that's a kicker but alternates aren't viewed highly anyways.

The new 5th year option for example is tiered and you can make more money if you make a pro bowl but they only recognize it if you're a day one selection

I’ll go with Tyler Smith if he stays at left guard for the entire season.

He was amazing as a rookie and with a year’s worth of experience and hard work, I think he could join Zack Martin there.
That's a good choice, especially since 4 out of the top six best guards in the NFL play in the AFC so it's a little less hectic/crowded in NFC.

It's the opposite if he stays at tackle, the NFC is way more talented at the tackle position then the AFC

I'm not sure what you were trying to convey but it makes no sense no everyone on a day one roster is not an NFL top 100 all or an all pro that happens after the season not even close they're 32 teams with 53 roster spots plus 10 on the practice squad I don't know if you did the math but no none of that made any sense to me I mean maybe you didn't understand my post but I don't understand your reply at all all I'm saying is making the Pro Bowl has very little prestige anymore and that's true it's turning into flag football and most of the guys who get voted don't even show up usually the guys second third down the line end up playing that ridiculous game

so until they find a way to bring the Pro Bowl back after the Super bowl and then make it mean something like baseball does then no there is no prestige or honor to be selected the Pro Bowl like they're used to but yes if you make the NFL top 100 or one of the all pro teams yes that would be a great thing but in Donovan Wilson's case like I said javon curse and Hooker are already the starters, so it's gonna be hard for him to get enough snaps to be considered for those honors..

I wouldn't go as far to say he was amazing but he was better than projected, he was very good but he still was getting beat on a regular basis by the faster off the edge guys..

he struggled a little bit against that type of pass rush

so yeah he could make a step and end up being amazing but I think he fell short of that word in my opinion, he was solid very good sometimes great but he has room for a lot of improvement and hopefully that's what he sees this year but my issue is going to be I'd rather see him stay at left tackle.

By the way, it's starting to look he's going to be moved into guard, so now he's changing positions for a while and it's going to hurt his growth as a tackle cause again he needs to be better against the better pass rushers especially the speed guys.

Duh! The less the thinking the faster the play...

He stated overcoming adversity with talent, and that takes strong leadership.

This team is very strong in personnel.

I said almost every single person who makes the day 1 pro bowl roster also makes the NFL top 100 or All pro team so it's not like the pro bowl is some weird outlier.

I just randomly checked the NFC day 1 roster for 2022 and 19 of the 22 selections for the Day 1 offense roster made either NFL top 100 or all pro team (about half of them made both)

no none of that made any sense to me
It's pretty self-explanatory. All of the drama with the prestige aspect of the pro bowl selection is the late season alternate/injury replacement selection. It's extremely rare to see a Day 1 selection that isn't worthy and that's why most of the day 1 selections also make other accolade list as well

Oh that makes no sense I'm saying if he's moved to guard it's gonna stunt his growth at tackle for the future because we all know Tyrone Smith isn't long for the retirement fund I don't like them moving him back inside that's my point

I didn't say anything about less thinking faster play

there's a big difference between left guard and left tackle... I know they wanna do best 5 but in my opinion they need to keep Tyler Smith at left tackle and make Tyrone Smith the swing tackle and find somebody that can do well at guard throughout training camp and preseason there's a lot of bodies on this team I don't want them to stunt the growth of Tyler Smith.

look you missed the point all this research is for not I'm saying that Donovan Wilson's not gonna get enough playing time to make the first team Pro Bowl or the first team all pro but if he makes it it would be because somebody else backed out more than likely given that we have two starting safeties on the team already I don't think Wilson's gonna get enough time or exposure to get voted in to the Pro Bowl as a starter therefore it would be as a fill in alternate and again that is not typically is legitimate as it used to be yes he's good I'm glad he's here the Cowboys were smart I mean you don't like our GM half the time these posts we see about Jerry and what not and they brought back Donovan Wilson was very smart on a good deal now we have three very good safeties they draft very well so I'm just saying this post was about making their first Pro Bowl and I don't think he can make the Pro Bowl as a as a first team it may be as an alternate and I don't think that would be as legitimate. I mean I like the guy but I mean they got overshown here now too that's very much like him so hey if they all make the Pro Bowl great I'm a Cowboys fan more power to them I hope they all do but I was just giving my opinion that Donovan Wilson probably not getting enough time on the field to make that kind of impression to make the Pro Bowl starter.

Is Wilson playing at a reduced role this year ?

Wilson's play time/snap count last year was higher than both Jordan Poyer and Derwin James on on par with Budda Baker ?

Not much of a gamble to me, but I'm definitely in the minority. Deuce Vaughn will make the Pro Bowl this season.

He's the 2nd best LG in the division so he might get an alternate spot.
