In 2007 when we beat the Giants twice in the regular season they had an opportunity to play more games after we beat them. What I'm saying is that they had the chance to gain momentum while at the same time we lost it.
The same thing happened when we lost against the Cards in 1998 playoffs, we beat them early in the year and they were able to get on a roll by the time we played them again. The eagle don't have that opportunity and I don't see hem bouncing back from that loss last week, just not enough time.

I agree this one is going to be different cause I do believe we'll defeat the Eagles.

The history of teams playing back-to-back games like this is that the winners of the first game are 4-5 in the second. Now, it's a small sample and doesn't account for situations where the loser of the first game was resting up, but I think we're overestimating the effect of last week's game on this one. The Eagles will almost certainly play better next week than they did last week, simply because they're a better team than they showed last week.

in addition to the Giants having time to regroup and get on a roll, the Cowboys spent that time losing their momentum and heading the other direction.

I think it is important for the Cowboys to get off to a good start offensively and keep the momentum rolling,,, would love to see another Philly beat down and the Cowboys clicking, though I wouldn't mind seeing them starting off poorly and then recovering for a win. Too many times in the recent past they have crumbled when the momentum got away from them,,, I would like to see evidence of them being a little tougher mentally.

Great info, I didn't know that.
