Every few years, we run a college sports cross-reference y individual schools and conferences using
1) Division 1 All-Sports "Director's Cup" rankings (ave final rank over 5 years)
2) US News and World Report National Universities Academic Ranking
I'm only going to include 6 main conferences that play division 1 football, basketball, baseball, etc.
The average All-Sports rankings, by conference are:
The average Academic Rankings are:
The Combined average of Sport and Academics Ranking
Note: this is just trivia.
The US News rankings are for overall, not specific schools like Med school or Engineering.
The Director's Cup All-Sports Rankings is flawed because it doesn't give more weight tot he power sports.
