The higher-quality games/teams will be starting soon but games have been going on for a while now

Big Dog put out a thread that shows the actual game schedules (dates and times)
https://cowboyszone.com/threads/bowl-schedule.503845/

What games are you interested in?

Besides your favorite teams, do you track how your favorite conference is doing?

If so, here's a site that shows a running tally of that

I will be watching part or all of three games coming up

  • Bowls with my two schools (ECU on Tuesday and UNC on Wednesday)
  • The bowl with my daughter's current school (Texas on Wednesday)and then
  • I'm curious about Clemson (now that finally went the better QB) vs Tennessee on Friday night.
And of course.....for sure watching both Final 4 games on the 31st

Thus far the Air Force-Baylor game was my fave.
Air Force playing in that cold weather just roflstomped Baylor which I never mind.

Will watch Texas Tech-Ole Miss on the 28th. Interesting match up as Ole Miss has been very overrated all year but Texas Tech has also just punched above its weight this year.
After seeing what Tech did to Miss St last year Kiffin will likely come in very prepared.
Both teams badly want to recruit well in Houston so this is low key important.

I'll watch both Kansas State vs Bama for sure! Pulling purple cats big time in that one.

And of course the Semis.

Unfortunately, a great comeback by Oregon to finally take the lead (and the win) vs North Carolina with 17 seconds left.
Brutal loss for the Tar Heels but the future looks good. That QB (Maye) is the real deal.

I know I'm the only one here that cares, but the ECU Pirates won their Bowl game going away 53-29. Go Pirates. Arrrghhh

My wife's Florida St 'Noles beat the Sooners. 35-32. They seem to be heading in the right direction finally.

My daughter's Longhorns lost to Washington 20-27.
Big 12 was really good this year, but the bowl record not showing it so far. That can be misleading though.
They have two big ones coming up.

Now the top 10 teams start playing, so this should be fun.

Really looking forward to 3 games tomorrow
  • K-State/Bama.....go Wildcats
  • TCU/Michigan....go Frogs
  • Georgia/Ohio St....mixed feelings...lol

ecu is a good program.
I'm originally from the Outer Banks, so ECU and Old Dominion are the closest D-1 universities
Several of my siblings and nephews/nieces are Pirates. My Sister and nephew both went to Med School there as well.

I have mixed allegiances between UNC and ECU...lol

Good luck with your Irish!

It's easy to find Bowl games with family ties.

I'm sure I'll leave some out, but here are teams that I have direct family ties to (siblings, their spouses, and their kids)

Appalachian St
Clemson
East Carolina
Florida St
Iowa St
LSU
Marshall
North Carolina
UNCW
Ohio U
Ohio St
Texas
Tulane
Western Michigan

I know I'm forgetting some too.

TB got the win but that was the definition of an ugly performance. No way does the Irish want him starting next year.
i'm surprised we threw the ball that much.
i'm glad we won...but that 100yd pick6 should never have happened.
RUN.
ESTIME.
he almost scored the play before.
run him again and i think he does.
helluva fight in buchner,tho.
but if rumors about sam hartman are true...our qb may be that demon decon.

I'm looking forward to watching TCU/Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl New Years Day. Should be a good game.
Also interested in the Iowa/Kentucky game in the Music City Bowl New Years day.

Georgia /Ohio State New Years Eve should be a hard fought game.

unreal.
buchner threw 2 pic-6s...and we STILL won.
unreal.
man i love marcus freeman.
helluva job with his team.
GO♧IRISH!
I had serious doubts about ** as a HC but he is learning at a very fast rate.
Hartman could really light it up at ND: which I am guessing is why he looks like he is coming.
I will give TB a LOT of cred for fighting through all that; but the guy just is NOT starter material; too much a wild card.
Gotta agree that was one crazy rollercoaster of a game. I thought after that last pick 6 it was all over but ND pulled it out

i still can't believe after estime's big run...that tommy reese called a pass.
i like buchner's running ability...it gave south carolina problems all game...but i still don't think our starting qb for next season is on the roster.

ACC was what I thought they were.
Very solid 9 teams in the bowls, but no really great team this year.
They ended 5-4.
The fact that they have no more games also tells the story.

Big Ten is off to a nice start with 3-0 record and with Iowa cruising today....so soon to be 4-0
They still have 5 more games (at least)

Big 12 is only 1-5 so far and heading for 1-6 if K-State can't turn it around vs Bama.
They had a really strong league though....top to bottom. It's just that their bowl competition was pretty stiff too.
Maybe TCU can surprise this afternoon.

The American is a solid 3-3, but really don't have a top team this year.
Houston, Memphis and ECU all had wins, but UCF, Cincy and SMU were disappointing
Tulane will have a chance to surprise vs USC on Jan 1. Tall task but doable

The SEC could still have the national champion, but they aren't quite as dominant this year
Probably 3-5 in bowls after today with a few ugly losses.
They still have 3 games left (minimum)

Pac 12 is a little like the ACC this year with a bunch of good teams but no great ones.
They are 3-2 so far and have 2 games left vs ranked teams.

Unfortunately for KSU, the mismatch is so huge at the QB position that they started in a big hole vs Bama

35-10 and we're barely into the 3rd quarter

Bryce Young
4 TDs
0 ints
248 yards

Will Howard
0 TDs
2 ints
118 yards

can't win with that going on
