Today, Saturday, 07/30/2022, was the first day of training camp to see our two kickers battle.

Lirim Hajrullahu has started ahead of Jonathan Garibay for now. It will be an interesting training camp competition.

Who do you got winning this kicker competition?

This is one of the things that interest me the most this upcoming season. Mr. Z definately cost us a game minimum and made a couple of others closer than necessary. I mean at least have a kicker in your line up, that gets in all the extra points for christs sake. At this level anything else is inexcusable.

Anyway, should be good, looking forward to it. :)

Ouch. Garibay better get it together or we'll have to switch him to punter.

I am rooting for Garibay, but really when it comes to kickers, I don't care about name or pet cat. I just want someone consistent on kicks and able to make that clutch field goal.

Anyone else think Zuerlein’s 2021 season was a tad underrated? He drilled some very clutch kicks last year, including a few game-winners.

I thought he was average overall (missed PATs were an issue), but most Cowboys fans think he was awful.

We all miss prime Dan Bailey but you could do worse than “average” at kicker, and being bad at that position can kill you all year.

Are their any kickers or kicker “adjacents” that can explain how a guy that’s good in college can be this bad on day 1?

The hashes are closer so that seems like an advantage? What else am I missing? That they are wimps? Something else?

It only struck me funny because there's a ridiculous joke that Norm McDonald told on Conan one time where he changes the last name of a fictional character for the joke from something that is also french to Gatineau. Worth a watch if you got a couple minutes.

He was the best story/joke teller maybe ever.

(It’s not really very dirty imo ) I’d say it’s ok for us here
