I did this the last few years.
It pretty much delivers the league MVP every year.
Don't get too worked up over this. Just data.
Combine and average the QBs' rank of the following two categories and tally.
There's still a long way to go but here is where we stand after 13 weeks (recall many have not played 11 or 12 games though)

- Total TDs (Passing TDs + Rushing TDs) - Total Turnovers (Interceptions + Lost Fumbles)
- Simple Standard NFL Passer Rating

- Mahomes (MVP candidate)
- Tagovailoa (MVP candidate)
- Hurts (MVP candidate??)
- G Smith (look at Geno!)
- Burrow (rising fast)
- Allen
- Garoppolo
- Brady
- Carr
- Herbert
- Jackson
- Rodgers (usually at the top, so giant dropoff so far)
- Tannehill
- Goff
- Dalton
- Lawrence (big improvement from last year)
- Prescott (would prob be top 12 if he played 11-12 games, using the per game data)
- D Jones
- Cousins (much worse than last 2 years)
- Fields (7 rushing TDs really helped)
