Packers:

1.13: OLB Lukas Van Ness. Iowa freshman defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness. ... (comp - Vander Esch)
2.42: TE Luke Musgrave. Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports. ...
2.50: WR Jayden Reed. ...
3.78: TE Tucker Kraft. ...
4.116: DL Colby Wooden. ...
5.149: QB Sean Clifford. ...
5.159: WR Dontayvion Wicks. ...
6.179: DL Karl Brooks

6 of these guys were on my board. Granted, I'm just a fan, but how bad is our organization when I feel like I can pick talent better after this season? Who was on the field out of our picks? Mazi? I had him rater mid to late 3rd. FYI, Jayden Reed and Puca were in my top 5 wideouts. Puca was my fav. His drop was injuries. Maybe he proves to be Sean Lee, but Sean Lee was a stud when he was on the field.

For a team that tends to draft great this year puzzled me. We failed to fill void, and achieved not putting a single stud to put out there. No one. Overshown is a pun name.

IIRC, all of GB's picks made big plays \ were contributors in last week's wildcard game, and yesterday's divisional round game.

You need drafts like this one by the Packers to make teh leap in the NFL. The Cowboys drafted for depth. And 2024 is not going to be much better considering where they are drafting.

Musgrave is who I wanted/expected Cowboys to take at 26.

Reed is a Michigan State kid so I was super familair with him. He blew up at the Senior Bowl.

Karl Brooks was a super-twitchy tweener (seems like Cowboys type) who went one pick after Eric Scott.

Getting pretty much next to nothing from your rookie draft class is damning.

McClay has proven to be good more often that not, but last year’s draft class harkens back to the 2009 “special teams” draft class in terms of being a complete dud.

The sad thing is that I look at a kid like Schoonmaker and I don't see the upside. His ceiling seems like he can be serviceable but not great. We have had some dud 2nd rounders like Joseph and Jaylon and Gregory but those guys at least had an upside they they stupidly tried to think they could get out of them. They had an athletic profile/upside. I just don't see it with Schoonmaker.

That pick screams they weren't sure if Ferguson would be the guy so they had to take a TE there after all the other guys went off the board.

As you said McClay and company have been good more often than not, but they can't mess this draft up. Since they seem committed to Dak and McCarthy, this draft needs to produce a couple of guys that can make impacts. They are going to likely adhere to the same stupid FA strategy so they can't miss two drafts in a row. They need a couple of players out of this draft.
