After 2 pre-season games.....

#1 Pick M Smith has been average AT BEST. He is suppose to be this strong DT that is getting pushed around. Some with say that he played against the starting OL of Seattle. (1) Seattle's OL is that that good--average. (2) Mazi will be playing against starting OL and didn't look like a worthy 1st rd pick (3) And Mazi doesn't even look like the #1 NT on the Cowboys which is Hankins.

#2-- Schoonmaker is not even average so far. Not stacking up to even have been a 3rd rd pick

#3-- Which takes us to Overshown. Out for the season with an ACL.

So the 2023 draft is not looking like it will make much impact on this team. Yes, Deuce has looked nice but if you have to pound your drum on a 6th rd pick and your productivity on the players your took high on is not making a BIG impact, you see why Dallas still will NOT see a NFC Conference game......again

You could add the jury still out on Fehoko....PS at best at this time...; and Scott at DB might have been a waste. This has turned into a tough draft for a team that depends on draft picks to contribute since they do very little FA signings. This team seems to have either no luck or bad luck. Aside from the OL starters, the OL backups are as questionable as ever. All it takes is an injury or two on the OL and this thing could blow up.

Pre-season is all we have to look at....so yeah. This ain't rocket science.

Good points and a logical Dallas fans. And you point out that this franchise doesn't go into free agency to save their $$$. And when draft picks don't pan out and fill those necessary holes, you see why this franchise has NOT seen a NFC Conference game in 3 decades..... And there is no real reason, with how this years draft has looked so far that this season is going to be any different that than the past deacades.

We simply are incacapble of drafting DT since Maryland. Give it up. Get rid of Dak. And purchase 2-3 quality DT’s and viola, problems solved.

Give Mazi a chance. Fletcher Cox didn't get any post-season awards until his third season, and he ended up on the All-2010's team. Come on man, give a rookie a chance already.

You cannot judge a draft class after 2 PRESEASON Games! Let’s reserve judgement to at least the end of their rookie years!
Granted, you can't but you can from the past 3 decades. The trend has been obvious.

4 months in and we’re already grading the draft. Smh

Look we’re all upset ab Overshown. I’m more upset about than I should be.. and I hate preseason games!

I honestly don’t know what people thought they were getting from Mazi, other than an anchor at DT. I remember a lot of folks (including myself) say..”we need a run stuffer at DT”, Dal went out and got one. Mazi is that guy. DT’s have always took a time to transition to the NFL..give the man a chance for gods sake

Schoonmaker hasn’t been at camp for what? A week.. I’ve seen him show up a couple of times and he’s just the back up. C’mon

V.Fehoko, we’ll have seen much from him, but he’s been injured too. So, I’ll hold my comment for when I see him.

5th Rd Asim Richards is going to make the team as a backup.. has looked bad, but has looked like a rookie. Not sure what We’re supposed to be upset ab here

Eric Scott has flashed, good and bad. But I have seen during the Preseason games why they liked him. A 6th RD CB may make this loaded CB room. That means something, right?

And let’s not forget who are #2 RB is.. Deuce has been a Hr. Period.

And our 7th Rd WR Jalen Brooks has done nothing to warrant him being cut..

So yeah, the top of our Draft is being slowed up by injuries and learning curve. The bottom half is showing you why you should trust Will McClay. Atleast give it a year or two. Maybe 3 according to Parcells

Dallas fans DO NOT CARE about personal stats, what a player is making, how many Pro-Bowls they played in nor how popular they are. Get to a NFC Conference game

Stop ! Give Will McClay because he he hit on a 6th rd pick but the Top 3 draft picks look average, at best. The FIRST Rd pick is suppose to be an "easy one" to produce immediately. It is why they are drafted in the 1st rd. And like the post said before, when Dallas depends to fill holes, via THE DRAFT, because they will not fill most of their holes in free agency, it puts more pressure on the draft to do it.

There are more than a few teams that would love to say they won 12 games, 2 years in a row and have every reason to believe they are a better team this year than both of those previous years. Am I missing something?

You aren’t getting to the NFC championship game by giving up on players before they even take a snap in a regular game. That LT the Eagles have didn’t even know how to play football. He sat on the practice squad for close to two years. They didn’t give up on him. Now he’s a beast out there. By your thinking, he would have been kicked to the curb two years ago.

Schoonmaker has been hurt, but he has looked good on the ball that he has caught the last preseason games.

that being said, Torrence the guard is looking like the real deal over in Buffalo.

What trend? Has every star player in the last 30 years hit the ground running to the pro bowl/top 100 with no development?
