2024 College World Series Thread

All ACC and SEC this year. 4 teams from each league. That's a bit weird and is a first.
Double elimination

Friday 6/14 (today) Games

• North Carolina vs Virginia (UNC won 3-2)
• Tennessee vs Florida State 6pm (CT)

Saturday 6/15 Games

• Kentucky vs NC State 1pm
• Texas A&M vs Florida 6pm

UNC beat Virgi ia 4-3 on walk-off
Tennesse beat Florida 12-11…..very controversial no call on swing strike 3 gave Tenn the win
Kentucky beat NC State 5-4 on walk-off

4th game is rain delayed

I love this time of the year, Summer starts and the CWS happens. I was fortunate enough to play in the world series in ‘92 for the Longhorns. Pepperdine was our nemesis who went on to win it all

I think NC goes on to win it all but don’t count out A@M.

Thats incredible that you got to experience the CWS

I’ve been assuming the winner will be A&M or Tennessee, but A&M lost their star player for the rest of season in the Super Regionals

Would love the Tar Heels to finally win-it all after being therea lot and being runner up a few times.
