Last year out of 17 games, 8 teams scored more than 20 points on the cowboys.

The offensive line is looking like it is not in a good situation, but we do not actually know how bad it will be. They could surprise everyone and play above the level we think.

Can Dak score 2 td's and get in position for 2 fg's?

There are different types of ways to win superbowls. I remember watching early Russel Wilson, and it seemed like all they did was run and punt. They got a superbowl with a subpar offense.

I doubt this years defense will be as good as the seahawks defense, but it will be better than last year. I think the defense and special teams, can dominate and make it easy to get those 2 td's and 2 fg's. Dak is good, the Rb's are good, Lamb and Schultz are good. I doubt dak will be putting up 30-40 points every game, but 20 is not unreasonable.

I can beat an average everyday golfer with a 7 iron. 2.5 shots straight down the fairway, with a put or a chip/put for par or bogey. That will beat an average golfer slicing, hooking, and missing fairways. Winning field position and turnovers, and not making mistakes can get the cowboys in the playoffs, and give them a chance to make a run.

I have not given up ....... I still think we will win the east.

If any of these kids can take the leap that Steele did last year ....... we can still be good.

But the front office are still idiots for putting us in this position.

21 NFL teams averaged more than 20 ppg last season. Trying to 20 points your way through a season probably won't lead to much success.

20 points was a benchmark. Lots of teams have won super bowls not being high powered offenses. It is a change in viewpoint and playstyle. It is punting, field position, no turnovers, running the ball, and making passing plays when you can.

What is your prediction for the way it will look or turn out?

Getting in field goal range doesn’t put points on the board

I know SBs have been won that way in the past, but in the current era it is more difficult. Not impossible, but the rules favor offense more than ever before.

I think the Cowboys open 0-2 and are, at best, 2-3 through five games. What happens week 6 - a night game in Philly - could be big. If they're 3-3 there are winnable games coming. If they fall to 2-4 (or worse) I think 8 wins becomes the ceiling (if that).

I wish the Texans and Jags were the opening games, but it's Bucs and Bengals. I don't think the defense can squash them enough for the offense to keep pace. I also know if they are 0-2 the pressure will be sky high heading into MNF at NY in week three.
