Ok, last year we finally had a QB that passed for over 3000 yards. But we still didn't have a 1000 yard rusher, a 1000 yard receiver, or a 10+ Sack guy.

We haven't had all of these things in years out of mind. I know this year looks promising.

So, will we finally have a 3000 yard passer?
a 1000 yard rusher?
a 1000 yard receiver?
a 10+ sack guy?

And please......I know that 1000 yards is not the "Gold Standard" anymore. So please spare the essays. Like it or not, that's the number that's associated with RBs....Has been for years.....Not only that, we haven't had a 1000 yard rusher since 2000?

Here's what I think:
I think Bledsoe stays healthy and has a 3000-3300 yard season
I think Julius Jones stays relatively healthy and rushes for 1300 yards
I think we'll still be waiting for a 1000 yard receiver....we'll have several 800 yard + guys....

And, sorry to say.....I think we'll still be waiting for a 10+ sack guy. I think we'll have several at 6 or over. I think Ware gets about 8.5 sacks. Glover will lead us with 9 sacks.

What are your thoughts?

Based on the way he was turning the corner in the preseason, I think Ware has a good chance of going over 10. Parcells knows his strength is rushing the passer and he's going to play to that.

I know I could easily be wrong about that, but it just looks to me based on ability and opportunity that Ware has a real good shot of doing it.

I think Bledsoe does at least 3300. If everything falls wrong, I think he could break White's team record. Not a huge task. A part of me hopes not, because I hope we won't be passing that much. If we are, we are either behind and our defense is bad, or our running game isn't working much like last season. So my hope is 3300 yards, but more might be possible.

Jones should be at least at the 1300 level. I don't think he'll catch as many passes as I had hoped for. I actually think A-Train will be our biggest receiving threat out of the RB's. But, 1300 is certainly realistic.

I think Witten will also approach 1000 yards. Do not be fooled. The Cowboys will lean on Witten to the point of getting ridiculous. They purposely stopped throwing to him in the preseason in hopes to keep him from becoming a target of gameplanning (too late). But, he is not the type of player who can be stopped by gameplanning. And if he is, then Price, Johnson, Glenn and the RB's will come up huge. In the end, I think Witten posts 1000 yards and jumps up into the top 3 TE's in football.

I'd trade all those stats in for a 10 plus Turn Over season.

Good thread Biz.

You can call me a homer but I see every single one of those as not achievable, but likely.

i think we had a qb pass for more than 3000 yards the previous year as well :)

10 sacks? Might be a tough goal unless Ware just comes out on fire. I'd love to see him pull down 14-15 this year and ROY.

3,000 yard passer and 1,000 yard rusher is almost a lock. I think we have too much balance for us to get a 1,000 receiver.

I think we may have a couple of guys get 10 sacks, Ware and Roy Williams.

I want to see:

3,000 to 3,500 yard passer

1,500 yard rusher

2 players 750+ yards receiving

3 players 500+ yards receiving

2 players 10 or more sacks

4 players 5 or more sacks

3 players 5 or more INTs

Wow!

That takes guts to mention that Roy may get 10 sacks! I know you're not necessarily coming out and predicting that, but that's quite a statement!

I'm impressed.......and would be even more impressed if that really happened.

I'd be thrilled if Roy had five sacks.

Look what we did in nickel with Beriault, he had a sack and caused a safety in one quarter.

There will be some zone blitzes coming out of the nickel with Ellis and/or Ware dropping into coverage with Roy and a LB blitzing.
