Woods is picking up a ton of steam. He's likely to go closer to 29 than 129.

1 that sim you are using sucks
2 Brandon smith at 56 would be a horrific pick
Are we on the same guy? Multi year starter at LB at LB U. Last year when talking about Parsons, most also mentioned Smith as his running mate to watch this year.
6’3” 250 RAS - 9.98
Pro Football network has him ranked 57 overall. I picture he and Parsons as our LBs who both have great pass rush skills.

Good effort but our biggest needs IMO are OG, Center and DT

There are going to be great prospects at those positions in rds 1-2 so I would go with this

I do think that if Burks is there our FO will find it tough to resist picking him

i'd like it.
love burks.
love those 2 buckeyes.
fan of brandon smith.
good mock'n.

love tom's versatility.
big fan of those smu ponys.

Yeah we are talking about the same Brandon Smith. Don’t care about his RAS score because his physicality score would be next to 0. He’s a terrific athlete, but just doesn’t play like a Lb at all. Our run defense would somehow get worse with Smith on the field. I’m a Penn State fan and have watched him play a ton. No thanks unless it’s the 5th round. Possibly even draft him late to try to move him to pass rusher…he has that far to go as a 4-3 Lb.

Honest question, do you see another source with Smith ranked anywhere near where PFN ranks him?

Misses a TON of tackles.

Not an instinctive player.

Thanks for the first hand info. If you’ve watched lots of Penn St games, I’ll take that over some online scouts.

Most boards have him lower. The one I'm looking at now has him at 90. It's not perfect either, but they're not usually that far off on day 2. But hey, a lot can change in 3 weeks.
