They do. Not have to play their top players til January 21st. Will be interesting to see how they handle it.

Umm….really, it’s just two weeks. If they rest some players this final week, that’s 1 week. Then they have a bye week, that’s 2. Then they will be practicing and preparing for a playoff game.

3 weeks is a long time. But its not as long as it seems. Just game action

McCaffery strained a calf today and they pulled him, so that helps them in that regard.

They took care of business. However, not playing your starters for almost a month is a recipe for choking. A week off? sure. Two okay. More than that and they risk going in cold and out of rhythm.

I don't think they'll rest their starters that long.

Who's the say they're even going to rest? They may take the month off into consideration and just play.

The Ravens will also have a month off, assuming they rest. We don't know that about them either.

But yes, they'll have to guard against rust
They do practice though.
They are limited on the number of practices. I believe in an off week. The have to give the players the entire week off. Plus they will have four vet days in there

It’s two Sundays off, 2 weeks off. That third week guys have to practice and prepare. They won’t be taking the week off leading up to the Sunday. It’s the same break every team has always had with a playoff bye. It can be a good thing for players nursing nagging injuries, but it also sometimes breaks the rhythm and momentum.

We had the number 1 seed twice recently, once with Romo and once with Dak. Both times we lost our first playoff game.
There can also be stupid distractions for foolish players…..like CABO. Haha

I don’t think the NFL regulates days off in a playoff bye week, only during the season.

Only the Dallas Cowboys could choke twice as a #1 seed, but I guess that's for another topic.

Idk I will defer to somebody who has more knowledge of the bargaining agreement. But still it’s a lot of time off

Every time we had a bye and rested our players on the last game ended in an early playoff loss due to the players being rusty and out of synch. We can only bless the Niners with the same.

Too much time off isn’t usual good. They’ll probably play their starters some next week to keep them sharp.

Can you name another team that has lost as #1 seed twice in their first game? There may be a team I'm forgetting, but I know 100% we did that. Are you proud of it or something?

Its not about being proud of it I personally don't even remember it aside from 2007. I honestly just don't care. The stuff you guys chose to harp on and remember...all the negativity.

Romo and Witten were drawing plays in the sand so technically they were working, lol.

So I'm just supposed to forget because it's bad? I remember practically everything about the Cowboys since about 1990 when I started watching them when I was 9 years old. It was almost all good stuff until 1996. I haven't forgotten what a dynasty was like. Maybe you were too young.

How do you not remember Dak's rookie year despite being a Dak homer?
